great no fantastic interpretation of a song many skilled players are unable to approach stevie ray said it was the only song that he felt intimidated taking into the studio impossible to cover unless youre improv skills are top notch this said i like your version i think in some respects youve played it more smoothly and arranged than jimi or stevie but maintained the original vibe doing both artists justice imo ....props

Don’t let people tell you how to play. I bet most of these guys couldn’t even play a G chord in more than two spots on the neck. Keep practicing with a higher tempo and you’ll get his speed. You do need a strat to get the tone tho😂

Awesome job! At 15 I was nowhere near your level. Of course, I was stuck in the grunge scene at the time, and it was very anti-technical playing. You don't see many people play this song on a Les Paul, but you have a beautiful tone dialed in for it. Is that a 50s reissue with the really beefy neck, or 60s with the thinner, tapered neck?
