Basel, Switzerland, Edited with Dehancer Like A Pro
I spent a day exploring the beautiful city of Basel in Switzerland, where I shot a little movie. This one is a bit different than the traditional walking video I usually do, but I wanted to offer you a different perspective of this city.
I also took this opportunity to show you how I color graded this video using Dehancer, who sponsored this video. Dehancer didn't ask me to say anything else than my honest feedback about their product and I must admit that it saved me a lot of time to color grade with their plugin, as well as adding some nice vintage effects, like the film damage.
Although the Dehancer plugin is a bit advanced, it allows me to save time and be more creative. I can't wait to explore it more in the upcoming video and improve my video editing skills, so thx Dehancer for sponsoring this video and allowing me to unleash more creativity!

Located in the North, this place can be reached by public transportations from Kyoto station within 1h and a half. This is the shrine of the God of Water and has been created about 1600 years ago. The walk was nice and relaxing, with some places along the way where you can have a meal or a tea right ...
There is a SAND BRIDGE NEAR KYOTO | Amanohashidate, JAPAN
Переглядів 869 місяців тому
On my way from Kinosaki-onsen to Kyoto, I decided to take a brief stop at Amanohashidate, to discover the sand bridge. Over the year, the waves moved the sand in two opposite directions and it resulted in the creation of this bridge. Now it is strong enough to be crossed by foot or by bike (which I did). In this video, I show you the beautiful view that can be seen from the other side of the br...

I Found The Most Beautiful Temple In The Japanese Mountains

During my last trip to Japan, I had the chance to visit the temple that appears in the movie "The Last Samurai". This temple that is called Engyo-ji, is located in the mountain over Himeji, in Japan. This place was amazing and if you are lucky, you may even see the Himeji castle from one of the view points! I had a relaxing (almost meditative) time walking through the forest of mount Shosha, co...

Chiang Mai was the capital of the Lanna Kingdom for at least 700 years. Some time the city was independent, but most of the time the City was a vassal state of various Burmese dynasties even right through the reign of King Rama I. When the British began to subjugate Burma and eventually abolished the Burmese King, exiling him to British India during King Rama IV reign, Chiang Mai was independent again but within a few decades, Chiang Mai King saw that Siam was beginning to exert influence to the North, the King decided to submit and even sent his daughter to become King Rama V's concubine. When Chiang Mai king died, King Rama V decided not to appoint a new king but put Chiang Mai directly under Bangkok's rule, sending a governor to govern Chiang Mai since then. Chiang Mai has it all, old town with several important temples, Wat Prathat Doi Suthep on 13 km up hill within 20 km from the city center and at the foot of Doi Suthep, there is Chiang Mai University, one of the four regional public universities in Thailand. The others are Khon Kaen in the Northeast, Burapha in the East (Chonburi) and Songkhla in the South. All four regional universities have all traditional faculties including Medicine and Engineering. There is an going project to propose Chiang Mai's old town as Unesco World Heritage within this decade. Wat Prathat Doi Suthep and practically all temples in the North and in Laos as well have two Nagas (mythical serpent-like beast living underworld) guarding the steps leading into the temple. It is believed that Naga King is the underworld ruler and is a devout Buddhist disciple. Thus, sometimes you can see an image of Buddha meditating under the tree with Naga King guarding behind with his 7 heads above Buddha's head to protect him from wind/rain. There are also standalone Naga statute along Meking River on both sides of Thailand and Laos, the most famous of which is at Nakhon Phanom with 7 heads. It might be noted that one of the largest royal barge of Thai King has 7-heads Naga as its head. The mortal enemy of Naga is Garuda (a mythical flying beast) which is supposed to be God Rama's mount. Indonesia and Thailand deem Garuda as high class mythical beast and Indonesia's National Carrier is "Garuda". Garuda is also the official symbol of Thai King, thus official document would have Garuda symbol at its head. When there is an official royal announcement from the King or Palace, the initial TV screen features Garuda for a minute before the royal text appears together with reading sound.
Thank you for all of this information. Very interesting!!
Lumpini Park is the first public park in Thailand built over 100 years ago. King Rama VI donated land at the outskirt of Bangkok to construct the park. The King used to be educated in a boarding school in England as a prince for several years and thus Lumpini Park was an attempt to emulate Hyde Park in England. Lumpini Park is the favorite park for people to exercise in the morning and evening. The park is world famous for its many monitor lizards, some are as long as 2-3 meters. Monitor lizard lives in the park's pond for decades. It has no predator so the park is the heaven for them. Nearby is Benjakitti Park which is connected to Lumpini Park via Green Skywalk. Benjakitti Park and its new extension (Forest Park) land used to house factories of Thailand Tobacco Monopoly. The factories were relocated to a remote province decades ago. Both Lumpini and Benjakitti parks are favorite for Thais and expats to relax, walking, biking or simply walking in the morning and evening. Biking is allowed in Lumpini park from 10.00-16.00. Other times are allocated to walkers and runners. Biking is allowed in all hours at Forest Park due to its dedicated bike lanes. The sculpture in Benjakitti Park is Prathumchart or literally Lotus Species. Lotus is the symbol of Buddhism and Thais bring lotus to the temple as merit offering. There is an annual event at the end of Buddhis Lent in October at Wat Yai Bang Pli to float a decorated boat to receive throwing lotuses along the canal ua-cam.com/video/KzOtkYDcvu8/v-deo.html
