I'm planning my trip to Singapore. Hope to see your part 2 soon :D
Do you speak Mandarin? It'll be easier when you travel overseas to China, Macau, Singapore and etc.
Going to Singapore in 1.5 weeks and have been watching videos for months but I learned more from you guys than any other video! THANK YOU! 🎉❤
We love hearing this! Thanks for sharing and you'll have a great time 🙌
Nice selection. Bout to head back out after 20 years. Jeff, cut back on the audio editing. Your voice almost put me to sleep when I’m supposed to be getting hungry in this video.
Excited for your return to little saigon! My voice is said to have relaxing qualities. can't change it unfortunately
Hi Vic and Jeff I'm your new subscriber..keep up the good work!!❤
Hi! welcome and thanks for sharing. appreciate the subscribe 🙏
Just wondering if you guys are lactose intolerant because your tea drinks don’t include milk?
Hi! Vic is lactose sensitive so she prefers not to drink milk based drinks. She'll get oat or almond or coconut substitutes when she does. I just have always prefer pure tea or fruit teas (just like I prefer my coffee drinks without milk). great question and thanks for watching our videos 🙌
Sleepy Joe to rescue….kinda….ish
trying to figure out this reference...help!
I trust all is well with you. I’m a UA-cam thumbnail designer who enjoys creating thumbnails that not only look great but also reflect your brand. I can create a sample for you to review first. If you’re satisfied with it, we can start discussing future work. I look forward to your response!
hi! you can email jeff@foodmento.com the samples and we'll take it from there. thanks for the message
Maybe u should just mute the woman's talking..... She sounds horrible and yet trying to be slang...... HOLY
LA is on fire so of course the toast would be better
we're saddened by the LA fires and we will be part of the rebuild of the businesses and lives impacted. LA strong 💪❤️
These are what local eats. Great adventure! Enjoy!
thanks for sharing! do you live in singapore? stay tuned for part 2 🙌
This list is pretty good - we be taking some notes too! Happy to trade notes anytime on good food recommendations ;)
thank you! happy to trade notes anytime (DM or email). this video is in a way our love letter to Singapore. part 2 coming soon! 🙌
that mortadella pizza looked horrible. who pays for a pizza that someone just literally throws a piece of mortadella on it? I loved the Spanish place Xutos. everything looked delicious there
It was good to try once! Did you go to Xuntos? We love it there 👌
Lovely message and such a great video - we are there from New Zealand in 3 days (5th time lol). Soooooooooooooooooooo excited. Thanks.
Thank you guys! We're excited for your trip to SG! Also we miss NZ, so beautiful and great venison pie + speights ale 💛
Love the travel series!!
Thank you! Penang next and SG part 2 after 🙌
no more
our first 2025 LA video coming soon (after Singapore and Penang) 🫶
using this vid to plan my sg trip hahaha
love it. Part 2 coming soon :)
pouring so much dark soy directly into the soup instead of dipping your meat 😳😳 diabolical!
Haha that might have been too agressive. The food "pourn" came out!
you should try KEK from Bukit Merah.. much cheaper than touristy Newton chilli crab and la la (clams). I would try Old Airport Rd hawker center or East Coast hawker center - coz it's by the sea.
We didn't go this trip but we love KEK esp their salted egg crab. Part 2 will include a visit to old airport Rd. We used to live nearby and it's our absolute favorite hawker centre in SG! Thanks for sharing and watching 🙌🙌
Glad to have you back in SG. You guys are truly food adventurers...maybe one day you will organize and lead tourist on a foodie safari! 😂
Thanks for the warm welcome! We always feel at home when in SG. We actually have done organized food crawls in LA and will be looking to do more this year 😅. Appreciate your suggestion and confidence in us!
Heng Gi, 545 Prawn mee etc. Impressive, the places you guys went are so on point even for a local like me.
Awesome to hear. We have had great locals guiding us to Tekka and beyond through the years. These are the true gems on eating in Singapore 🙌
Fun Drink Seeker and Sauce Man😂😂😂
🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♂️😅😅
Welcome back to Singapore 🇸🇬🥰 What a pair of foodies, and arguably the smartest way to enjoy Singapore without making a hole in your pocket. 👏👍
Thanks for the warm welcome! We definitely prefer local eats over fine dining and Singapore is a local eats heaven!
We have been looking forward for your travel content! Always great hearing about your stories. (We are the folks that said hi to you guys at Smorgasburg btw!)
Hi Anna! Thanks for letting us know you enjoy our stories ❤️ Wow, we love meeting you all out in the wild. Thanks for saying "hello" at Smorg 😉
Wow! Very impressive eaters.
Haha. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching our HK video 🙏
Wow you guys are not afraid of being over caffeinated! How do you guys get around all those areas in SG? MRT only? That’s a lot of walking.
Haha we do stay well caffeinated! I think when we travel we walk a lot and it helps to balance the caffeine (also jetlag). This trip we took the bus and mrt a lot. If we're in a hurry we'll take a cab but the bus/mrt options are so convenient and reliable 🙌
As we share this video, our hearts are with those impacted by the LA fires this week. If you've been impacted or need support, please reach out via DM on IG. We will do our best to help. Know that you're not alone ❤❤
man you left no stone unturned lol, I'm surprised you went all the way to eden center
I love Vietnamese food and had to check out Eden center, esp since the train + bike takes you there. Though I'd rent a car next time to explore more in the area 🙌
10/10! A doggy’s POV🫶🏻
that's right! pet pov 💯
I love San Diego thank you for sharing the restaurant i definitely will try that croissant 🥐
amazing. thanks for watching! let us know when you do try it. its so good 🙌
A few notes: - that triangle you pointed to on the map is not "the Convoy District". It's Kearny Mesa, or rather part of it. Kearny Mesa extends further to the east over the 163 to the 15 fwy. The Convoy District lies within Kearny Mesa, and is literally the corridor of businesses immediately along Convoy, not the entire triangle. - typically, San Diegans don't go to Sushi Ota for "inexpensive" sushi...we go to Sushi Deli. - you may have already done this in a previous visit to San Diego, but when in the Ocean Beach area, OB Noodle (either location) is a must for a first time (or repeat!) visitor. But not for the noodles, for the trifecta: the Sizzling Fish, the House Special Fried Rice, and the Chicken Wings.
HAHAHA, I finally understand where Casa Woo is! All this time I thought it was a separate restaurant!
Hahaha maybe a future restaurant?
All look good and interesting. Thanks
Thanks for watching! We appreciate it 🙌
I think it’s too much fried and sweet foods for this age.
We agree. We'll decrease our fun drink sugar level to 25% and eat fried foods in moderation. When we don't go out we eat a lot of vegetables in soup. Thanks for sharing 🙏
The Friendly burger used to be $6 and really is the best after a couple of pints
That must have been glorious to have grown up in SD with that combo 🙌
Love it! Think of all the sock/slide combos you could feature too!
I was thinking the same 🙋🏻♂️
I cannot believe you guys actually like Mofongos. I went there and it was awful, dry and tasteless. If any Puerto Ricans know of a good place..please let me know because I want to try actual tasty authentic PR food.
We agree the pork chop was dry though the alcapurria and relleno de papa were not dry at all. Def looking for a great pernil asado in LA 🙌
Of course we want to know who the celebrities were. ❤
Chace Crawford sat next to me. He's a fellow foodie!
My husband and I (from OC) have been enjoying your videos. We are trying to find inspiration to go out and enjoy our area but just can’t seem to shake off the underwhelming thoughts of going out around here after we get to travel abroad. Everything local just seems so boring 😆
But dining local is how you meet new people and possibly make a new friend. ❤
@@Godskeikifor introverts, this sounds like a nightmare lol
We can totally relate! @godskeiki : Jeff agrees with you @donnathu_ : Vic can relate ☺️
San Diego native checking in. 🤓 Y’all picked some of my favorite spots and reminded me of some spots I need to revisit/try. Sushi Ota is my birthday spot and an excellent choice. Flavors of East Africa is a staple and I highly recommend the plantains, lentils, and/or eggplant as sides. And thank you for hyping up Cocobomb. It’s tucked away and never busy when I visit. Super nice people, excellent desserts, and killer prices. If I were to recommend a spot for your next visit, it’d be De Cabeza El Unico in Chula Vista. Maybe The Pad Thai Stand as well. 👌
This is amazing. Yeah we're so happy to try flavors of Africa and cocobomb this visit. We've added De Cabeza to our list for next time. And we LOVE the Pad Thai stand as well! Thanks for sharing 🙌
Hi, nice playing. What is your rating Vic?
Hi! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm unrated but Jeff says at my best I could be a 3.5 😬 Do you play?
So refreshing to see ❤️😁😂
Thank you!
Where is this place
Seven Terraces Hotel in Penang
I appreciate all your efforts for getting the shot! Love your channel and move into long form content ❤
Thank you! We appreciate you too 🙌
@vic I loooove your glasses! What brand are these? I need them now! ❤
Aw, thanks! They’re new and super lightweight. It’s from JINS us.jins.com/products/airframe-slim-bigshape-063
Your music is so loud when you talking at times!😊
thanks for the feedback! We're still newbies but hope we're getting better at sound editing with each video 🙌
I love Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai food are my favorites, however, I am not familiar with all the dishes they offer, can you please not only tell where you are eating but what type of food it is. Thank you.❤😊
Thanks for the feedback. We'll try to talk more about the cuisine type, especially when the dish is common across multiple cusines 😀
Very inconsiderate to go out and spread illness
Thanks for your feedback. We canceled our plans when Vic was coughing and only went out when she felt better :)
Do you know if I can connect Alipay to my wise card account?
We used a us bank issued credit card and it worked well. We tried our Venmo credit card and it didn't work. Not sure if wise would be similar to Venmo or not. Doesn't hurt to try 👍
Where is this Casa Woo place? I gotta go!
Haha when it opens to the public we'll let you know! 🙌
