Beginner Band Exercise Routine | Full Body | 30 Minutes | Workout With My Cat!
Try this simple but effective resistance band workout to safely strengthen your whole body and leave you feeling great! Plus, enjoy the entertainment that my cat (Nia) provides as she attempts to distract me!
Here is a breakdown of the routine:
Warm Up Dynamic Stretching ~3-5 min

Sword Pull ~12-20 reps/side
Downward Diagonal Pull ~12-20 reps/side
Over & Back ~15-20 reps
Bicep Curl ~15-20 reps (slow and controlled!)
Overhead Tricep Extension ~15-20 reps
Knee Extension ~12-20 reps/side
Glute Kickback ~12-20 reps/side
Squat ~15-20 reps
Rotational Chop ~12-20 reps/side
Cardio/HIIT/Tabata
4 rounds of 20 sec AMRAP - Opposite Knee to Elbow Raise
4 rounds of 20 sec AMRAP - Stepping/Jumping Jack
Cool Down Dynamic Stretching ~3 min

      Sorry to hear that you didn't find it to be helpful Rachel. It seems that most people will follow along exactly with the video playing on a screen infront of them until they have it memorized. Everyone has different preferences though 🤷‍♂

    I got into running within the last couple of weeks and have been lost on what to do for a good warmup and this has been helpful over the last few days! Just wish there was like a beep/cue for the next movement as I do it outside with no good way to prop my phone up!

      Definitely a great suggestion, I wish I could edit that in! Can always use a timer app that just beeps every 20-30 seconds and that should work though. Either way, I'm glad you found it to be helpful with your start into running again!

    It took me 6 months to repair a shoulder cuff tear and last time I did this I couldn't do the full range of motion now it's 9 months later and that was easy - I make sure I still exercise all my joints every day - it works - thanks 🙏

      Sorry to hear that happened to you. I'm not sure if you have any underlying neck conditions that may have led to that occurring, but you should always consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise routines.

    this is actually very good and reliable. I'm recovering from an injury which happened because I didn't stretch before working out and this helped me realise stretching is actually very useful. i hope I don't injure again. thank you so much for the tutorial!

    This has turned into one of my favorite warm up videos. I slow it to .75 speed though 😅 I don’t know why but I like to feel the stretch just a bit longer.

    You had me at "cat." One of my cats used to get confused when I did dynamic flexibility exercises and would walk under me and meow when I did Spider-mans. I couldn't help notice you are in the way of the cat a lot, though. Good session.

    I have lower back issues. Tight hip flexors, hamstrings and well u know the rest lol. Have anything for that mat issue?

      I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with all of that. I see patients suffering with those kinds of things all the time, but I usually need to see people for an assessment before I can say for sure what may be causing the problems.     This warmup is amazing! I was struggling to find a warmup without someone with their shirt off, just trying to flex on everyone and without doubt I can say that this is the best warmup on UA-cam! (In my opinion) Also I love your dog! Very cute!

      It is flexible, so you can adapt it however you like. Could be 5 reps in each direction or 10 sec of each technique for example. Find what works best for you!
