Makoto was killed on khanreiah.. she went to khanreiah without telling ei... So i think she was killed by celestia... It is also mentioned that she has some knowledge.. who else that has knowledge but was also killed? Guizhong, obaraxi.. and maybe the previous dendro archon too... And also makoto was a kind gentle god and she also loves humans so there is no way the people of khanreiah killed her.

Small Note: The video was made before Enkanomiya's release. Speculations are made without the newly released information about Istaroth, they are not an interpretation/analysis nor covered here for now.

I just came here to tell other who reads this comment that the God of Time has been named in the game already. If you already finish the quest in Enkanomiya where you need to find 5 books and return it to the librarian. You will get the book titled "Byakuyakoku Collection" in the Archive. If you read it, there is a part where people of Enkanomiya tells about a god who did not forsake them and known as the "Ruler of time" and she was the measurement for the thousand winds (probably refers the Thousand Winds Temple in Mondstadt where the game first mention a god of time who was forgotten.) In the book. she is commonly known to the Enkanomiyans as Kairos but the book also stated her true secret name which is penned in reverse "Htoratsi" or "Istaroth" in the correct order which can be also related to "Astaroth" in the Ars Goetia.
