Roaring River State Park has always been my favorite State Park in Missouri and really, the entire US. It's such a magical place. Seeing the spring and the trout never gets old. For 25 cents, you can still purchase a handful of fish food and feed the trout. I have yet to see anybody that doesn't like feeding the fish and being amazed by their beauty and size.
If you are looking for a great place to visit in southwest Missouri, this is the place. They have three campgrounds, a lodge, a restaurant, miles of hiking trails, trout fishing and even a nature center.
