That stitch makes those colours pop 😊 What yarn please?
I LOVE THIS STITCH. I made an awesome shawl out of really heavy pure wool for my wife using this.
Can you make a lace vine beanie, please? Thanks
Good Morning! Absolutely! are you after an adult or baby beanie? One panel of lace or two?
That's beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
This is fantastic!!!
It's both hard to pull out and easy to pull out!😍
OMG! Im so glad other people do this, I've been doing it ever since and people kept saying it was useless, thanks for the confidence!
This is the best hack!! It is the only way to keep the wool together and the clips do not destroy the wool. I'm thrilled you do this as well. I've been doing it for years!
This is good! 👍🏻👍🏻
It really works! Give it a go
WOW I love this!!!
it is such an easy and effective hack!! give it a go
Beautiful
Thank you, the knit stitch is such a lovely stitch
This has become a favorite of mine and would love to see another one from her
Hello! I am thrilled you enjoy knitting this beanie. It is a fabulous beanie to knit
That is a very pretty stitch, and hooray, it doesn't look to be difficult. Thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
I find it fascinating how you rib and moss stitch almost the same. I love knitting
This is one of my favourite stitches. It looks amazing! I am thrilled you love knitting, as it is such a lovely hobby
This is lovely
this looks fabulous in hats and cowls. Such a pretty stitch
Fantastic!!!
Fantastic!!!
I have 52 stiches for a wide scarf im a learner and using circular needles
Fantastic!! Circular needles are amazing once you get used to them. With this scarf you dont need to join the wool to make a circle. Its a great way to get a feeling for using these needles. let me know how you go
Hi Could you please show how you cast on and off in a tutorial please .I love your tutorials they are easy to follow compared to others on you tube.
Thanks! I am thrilled you enjoy my tutorials. I have a few videos on casting on and off but these are in the shorts videos. I will upload a more detailed on. Let me know how you go with your knitting
Check verbal instructions for row 5 please. Then check written instructions. I’m guessing written is correct. Thanks for beautiful baby hat!
Well picked up! Thank you so much. Yes you are correct. Rows 1,2,3 and 5,6,7 are knit rows. Only Rows 4 and 8 are *P4, K4*
Love it much, thanks a lot, am working on it now😁😁❤❤
I'm an absolute beginner and this really helped, thanks much for the beautiful display and instructions ❤❤❤❤
Was wondering how long are your needles? Thanks so much ! Beautiful work!
I'm thrilled you like this. I use 5mm needles with 60cm cord. This lets me knit the cowl and all the stitches fit on the cord.
Please do thesame repeats more than once! I'm a beginner and I'm trying hard to learn ! Great videos! So thankful! Merry Christmas!
I'll put more repeats in the videos. Absolutely. I'm glad you are enjoying knitting these lovely cowls.
❥ Beautiful thank you for teaching us ツ
If I wanted to make a bigger hat (with more yarn) would I just make it longer before I decrease, and if it needed to be wider, how would I do that please?
Hello! to make the beanie bigger, I would add 5 more stitches, knit the band and try it on to get an idea of the fit. If you would like it bigger, unpick (I know this is hideous but it is worth it to get the correct fit) and add an extra 10 stitches and then try it on. I would keep knitting and trying it on to get a good idea of the length. If you have alot of hair I would absolutely keep knitting. I hope this helps. Please let me know how you go.
How many row for the ribbing, andI how many rows for the main hat portion!! Did you use straight needles if circular? Learning to use circular needles! Thanks! Great videos!
Hello! there are 6 rows of rib stitch. I knitted this on the round but you could easily knit this using straight needles and sew the seem. Just keep knitting till you have 20cm in length.
How many stitches cast on? Love your. Videos!
Cast on 63 stitches. If you are using the circular needles add one extra stitch.
Can't follow decrease rows not exactly what you are saying!
Good Morning, i have three rows of decreasing for the top of the beanie. Row 1 is the right side of your work (the outside of your beanie), Knit 1 stitch and then knit 2 stitches together. Repeat this to the end of the the row. When you knit 2 stitches together it reduces the number of stitches. Row 2 is on the wrong side of your work (the purl side) now you purl 1 stitch then purl 2 stitches together. Repeat this to the end of the row. The final row - Row 3 is on the right side of your work and you knit 2 stitches together. Let me know if this helps
Love the videos! Will you please tell how long your needles are on these videos ? Beginner on circular needles need help on connecting in the round ! Thanks!
Once you start knitting with circular needles, you will love them. I use circular needles that have a 60cm in length cord. The cord is small enough so the stitches for the beanies, cowls and small projects fit around the needles. I find it difficult to knit with circular needles that have a long cord as it tends to get in the way. Have a look at the UA-cam blue cowl I knitted in 22 May 2020 as I demonstrate adding an extra stitch when casting on with the circular needles.
Hello! Did you decrease for two rows or just one? Thank you!
Hello! I decreased for two rows.
I decreased for two rows -row 37& 38😊
Thank you for the video. Which wool did you use? Is it pure wool and is it thick wool?
Hello! I used Rowan Big Wool. Composition: 100% Merino wool Yarn weight: 20ply / Super chunky / Super bulky Size: 100g Length: 80m
what is the 2nd row for the loss which pattern? Thanks so much ! love your videos! Keep them coming!
Hello! Sorry for the late reply, I've been unwell. Moss stitch is my favourite stitch. I love it. Create Moss (or seed stitch) by alternating knit and purl stitches in the same row, then your second row knitting the opposite stitches. For example Row one - make sure you knit one stitch then purl one stitch. For the second row you need to do the opposite start with purl one then knit one. then continue. This will make the bumps in the pattern. Please let me know how you go.
What size needles did you use this
Good morning! I used size 5mm needles
How do you tell where your rows stop and start ?I have to use markers Love the videos!
I also need to use markers. They are fantastic. Place the marker at the start of your first shell pattern. I hope that hopes
What size needle?
Hello! I used size 5mm needles
@@KnittingTutorials Thanks so much!
Its almost like a peacock pattern ❤️
Is it just a rectangular piece ?
Hello! Yes this is a rectangular piece. Cast on using straight needles and knit for 64cms. It is incredibly easy and quick.
How long is your circular needles?
When using circular needles I only use 60cm in length. This length is shorter and I don't have excess cord, which is quicker to knit. The cowls fit perfectly on 60cm length.
Very nice. Thank you. I love everything you do🥰😍
Thanks so much, I'm thrilled you love all the projects
You are a very blessed teacher. I saved and shared everything you do. Pls teach me how to knit shalls. Also half circlee shall. Thank you in advance. 🥰🤗🙏
Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy you enjoy these projects. I'll have a look at shawls and see what I can find/do.
What is the name of the yarn you used? Beautiful.
Good Morning Pat, I used Malabrigo Rios. The colour is Aniversario 005. This is a family owned yarn company from Uruguay, Malabrigo, one of South America's leading wool producers. They work with a cooperative of women and produce a range of exquisitely soft, hand dyed yarns that are a joy to work with.
@@KnittingTutorials Thank you. Love your patterns -- simple and yet looks lovely.
I’ve watched many a knitting tutorial video thus far, and even followed along with one on how to knit a baby’s sweater (on another channel… I knitted it successfully but I don’t recommend their instruction😆)… This said, I have to say, hats off to you! I can’t imagine filming and editing is easy, and especially regarding teaching others how to knit! But this video was SO easy to follow, clear and concise, and positive. Thank you very much! Can’t wait to make one of these for my little one. What a fun project to get into - something I not only look forward to seeing my baby wear as a finished product, but to enjoy while I make it! Thanks again for your time sharing this. :-) Incidentally - I love how short this video was! This makes the project far less overwhelming. I love that I saw a whole overview and can come back to reference as needed. So helpful!
Thanks Cleo! much appreciated. I've seen so many knitting tutorials on UA-cam and most are far too long. I try to keep my videos short, have the finished product at the start and skip the 'how to cast on'. Happy Knitting 🧶
Can you tell me what yarn you used? I love it. Thanks!
Glad you like this beanie! I used 10ply/Worsted/Aran. The Brand is Manos de Uruguay and the colour M9644 Chrysanthemum.
