Are new blocks being cast for the 2022 production? It would be soo interesting to know! I was aware replacement new alloy heads used to be available for the 100/4 with improved features but equally more out of necessity as the original spares became unavailable. I’m reviving my past interest in all things -Austin 1930 onwards

Fascinating that the original 4 cylinder blocks are specified. These are such rugged, super strong castings shared with the smaller bore 2.2L block incidentally also produced as a diesel with 20:1 compression ratio. I have the same 2.2L petrol version- designated as a 16hp in original car. Basically this motor assembly was in production from 1945 to 1968 mostly as 2.2L and also less a common 2.7L( which powered the 100/4, some military vehicles and other applications.)

Perfection

Hybrids are not too unreliable, just more "complexity" or parts of failure, but the batter and electric motor is simple compare to a combustion engine. Might consider the new Mazda when it comes out
