      I agree with you that that about of extra fat is not good for our bodies. I am coming from the angle that some people are struggling with disordered eating, and that we don’t need to strive to be a size zero pant size

    I binge and starve, or I used to. Rehab helped me a lot. I’ve been working on it for the last few months since then. I got a lot better. But. Yesterday was one of the hardest days I ever had. I was watching a movie and the last hour of it I couldn’t pay attention because my ED was so loud. I had to compete with those thoughts, it was so hard and they won. I haven’t had an episode like this in so long. It’s the next day and I’m laying here not eating, and I nearly cried seeing this short show up. Getting a banana now. ❤

    or they can just have chocolate chip cookies, minus the bar part what is with the hyper health stuff? this page is making me feel dysphoric already ngl! i am very confused why your videos feel half recovery positive but half something else that feels uncomfortably a bit pro ed.. could just be my paranoia but this is the second video i’m like why would this be worded that way? ☹️ why not just tell someone to enjoy a chocolate chip cookie? that is what i want to hear in my recovery. definitely not “have a bar” type beat :/

    • @imbringinhealthyback
      @imbringinhealthyback 5 місяців тому

      It’s just a chocolate chip cookie in bar form. They’re homemade and there is nothing “healthy” about them. They could’ve been made in cookie form, but I just put all the dough into a baking dish.

      @@imbringinhealthyback ohh okay, i understand! as you may understand, often in the ED recovery and in general surviving communities, i feel like i see the word bar and i’m like “oh boy, here we go again” because it’s usually a “healthified” version of something enjoyable and indulgent like a cookie, so i was worried!! it’s very uncomfortable feeling like in recovery everything is made to be just morphed into a different disorderly thing (like taking foods and having to force yourself to try to make them healthy) so i wanted to make sure that wasn’t what this was, i was just confused. thank you for clearing it up!!

    • @imbringinhealthyback
      @imbringinhealthyback 5 місяців тому

      Some people don’t feel like they can have just pancakes. They feel the need to “health-ify” them by adding a protein source and/or a fiber source. While I agree that it’s good to have a balanced plate, eating a plain plate of pancakes shouldn’t stress people out - and for some people, it does

      @@imbringinhealthybackalthough i love this reasoning, the video struck me a bit confusing because i viewed it as “try to JUST have pancakes without (extra helpful food intake)…” it definitely is worded in a way i feel younger people may be taking it wrong and thinking “oh that’s right i shouldn’t add any more to my plate, JUST pancakes and butter is okay…” this is coming from my viewpoint i know, but i am someone who has been in recovery for bulimia + ana dysphoria since 2011 and the wording is really rubbing me wrong. especially because kids today are very sensitive and i fear they may really misunderstand this one.
