Toroni, beach days in the shade of ancient ruins
Toroni is a small resort hidden in the southern arm of Sithonia, but hosts one of the longest beaches on the Halkidiki Peninsula.
The beach enjoys 2.5 km of golden sand and crystal clear water, features that brought it the Blue Flag.
It was a very important city in ancient times, ruled by 30 small towns. However, from ancient times only a few ruins of Fort Lecythus, and the Acropolis on the southern hill of Toroni, to Porto Koufo remain. If you are passionate about snorkeling, you can discover the ruins of the agora of the ancient city under water, at a distance of about 35 m from the coast.

Toroni este o statiune micuta ascunsa in sudul bratului Sithonia, insa gazduieste una dintre cele mai lungi plaje de pe peninsula Halkidiki.
Plaja se bucura de 2.5 km de nisip auriu si apa cristalina, trasaturi ce i-au adus Steagul Albastru.
A fost un oras foarte important in perioada antica, avand sub conducere 30 de orase mici. Cu toate acestea, din vremurile de demult apuse au ramas doar cateva ruine ale Fortului Lecythus, si Acropolisul situat pe dealul sudic din Toroni, catre Porto Koufo. Daca sunteti pasionat de snorkeling, puteti sa descoperiti ruinele agorei orasului antic sub apa, la o distanta de aproximativ 35 m de coasta.
