Frontier is a joke. They have intoxicated pilots that use drugs and then cheat the urine screens. They even have a cutesy name for their grift- the sub club - because they substitute fake urine for theirs.

and people complain about Southwest.

You sound surprised. You get what you pay for. Frontier is an ULCC so if they get you from point A to point B then you got what you paid for. Did you report this problem gate agent to Frontier? I think the class of service that you are talking about is "premium economy".

I'm so sorry Frontier is the only carrier near your home. I decided many years back that I would never fly with them ever again due to the constant issues they gave me: the constant flight time changes, the bag checks, their routes having unnecessary layovers, the rude staff, etc. Even Spirit is better than them. But I understand they're your only option, hope your next flight with them is better.

After numerous delays one time we landed in San Diego but Fronteir only rented one gate that already had a Fronteir plane parked in it and we were stuck on the tarmak for a long while with very angry passengers. I never seen so many people fuming. Eventually someone said they had chest pain and this allowed them to use someone elses gate. I wonder if he faked the chest pain? Ambulance could show up and say they're better now and sign AMA.

The crazier thing is that if it was a light flight, you'd not be on the manifest and the error wouldn't have been caught. If there was a crash they'd have reported that you weren't on the aircraft. You should make a FAA complaint.

I like the way that the conclusion was presented right from the beginning. When the conclusion is not clear it is difficult to tell what information is important to remember. On a recent flight out of Tucson a TSA agent became irritated because I could not fully hold my arms in the desired shape over my head. Hey I am 70, I am not as flexible as some, I did almost make the correct shape.

I think cover ups are a good choice for anyone, but you know things have relaxed. I still wish suits were required for formal night, or at the very least pants and a polo..... but we still get people coming in with a beer t-shirt and sandals. lol ;)

Your prices are way off. We got the hideaway beach for 43 dollars were as the beach club was 120 dollars. If you are a foodie then pay the higher price but I'm not paying that much for food. I'm here for the fun not the pomp and circumstance.

Omg, this is one of the ugliest ships I've ever seen. I'm an avid cruiser, 18 cruises so far, and what I love about cruise ships is the feeling of luxurious indulgence. I'm not talking about ultra luxurious lines, I'm talking Princess, Celebrity and Holland America. But Virgin just fails in that respect. I've heard that the food, entertainment and the absence of kids is wonderful - and I really want to like this line because of that - but I just would not be able to tolerate the horrible decor! I've watched so many videos hoping to convince myself to book a Virgin cruise, but it just hasn't happened. And don't get me started on the ridiculous staterooms!

Thanks for sharing a lot of good information but I would like to get clarification on a couple of things. You did say, no matter what your loyalty status is, Virgin will only move you to the Blue Tier. So, I think you inferred you both are Pinnacle status with RCL, but Virgin, the way things are now, would only bring you in at the Blue and NOT Deep Blue tier. I have an RCL cruise in November which will get me to Diamond Plus, and I have been thinking about sampling a Virgin cruise. I thought I would get more bang for my loyalty buck, but I guess I am being greedy, as something beats nothing at all! Please let me know if I my interpretation of the loyalty matching is accurate. The four day cruise is limited to just once per visit. Five day plus you can repeat a restaurant reservation.

Don’t ever seen whales

The reservation rule applies to all members in the reservation. It would not work for someone else to make a reservation where you were included. That said, walk ins are allowed to visit a restaurant a 2nd time.

Great tips, a lot of it is common sense. We've cruised with Celebrity, Princess and RC. We're trying our first virgin voyages this September/Oct and can not wait. Hope it lives up to our expectations
