That's me..! I am my own person. I am busy educating myself and spending my spare time painting, reading, and doing things I like. I am not lonely, and I have learned to embrace being single, having no kids and to actually love my freedom. Many times friendships and romantic relationships strip away our sense of self, and our self-worth, self-esteem and deplete us emotionally. I learned to embrace solitude and to embrace having the ability to study, paint, go to museums, and parks, to go on solo hikes, and enjoy my silence and peace. If I don't want to get up early on weekends and sleep till noon I can do that and if I want to spend the day painting and listening to music I do that. There is a lot of freedom with not having too many people in your life. In my 20s I had a lot of acquaintances who wanted and demanded me to do favors for them, it was an ongoing task to please them, make them happy, and try to be accommodating to their needs and wants, if they wanted me to babysit I babysat, if they wanted me to take care of their pets when they went on vacation I did, finally I got fed up because there was no reciprocity and I decided being alone is better than being with people who are only looking for themselves.
