Thank you! I usually use a regular acrylic primed panel. Sometimes oil primed panels, or wood, or aluminum. Then I’ll usually tone it with an overall color but this one I went straight to blocking in the mane colors. Let me know if you have any other questions! I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for answering! I thought maybe you use illustration board. Because of your panel is thin. I want to try illustration board for gouache. Is your panel inside board (was in early days) or a sort of wood inside. Because there are different sort of panels. Thanks 🙏💐

Yes! There’s a plethora of different types of board. This one is just like a canvas panel board. Like I think the sturdy board part is just some sort of archival particle board. I paint constantly so I try not to spend too much money on them, but will if I’m feeling fancy or on a commission.

I appreciate that! Sometimes, I use a green, gray tone and occasionally a MAGENTA one when I’m feeling sassy 😆

Surprisingly, this was the third attempt. I started it twice before on surfaces that I had prepared that wouldn’t allow adhesion.
