@@madsrcbuggy thanks Mads! It's almost ready to go again. The new light on the car should help this time. I also turned the drag brake completely off as I think it was the cause this time around with a big motor and smaller tires. Here's to the next one!

@benthreadgate5190 Yes, 3s. This was when we had a traxxas vxl set up in it. That set up is a 3500kv 550 can motor. We've been switching electronics around here. I think it's currently running the Vendetta combo in it right now(4000kv long can).

@@peoplePC-dx2cu I think it could be possible to get under the 3 second mark. The really fast rwd guys are doing 1.4/1.5. It takes ecu and remote tuning to get the power to the ground and maintain traction.

@jonmandelbaum5395 this exhibition was when I had an RC4WD 80t brushed motor and 1080 hobbywing brushed esc. I also locked the diffs with putty. For tires it's running proline trenchers meant for a Slash. The 2/3 wheels allowed me to fill each wheel with automotive wheel weights and 20mm hex extenders. Also, it's got bearings throughout. It now has a 1/8th scale 1900kv brushless motor...

@jonmandelbaum5395 I recently tested it while pulling my son in the wagon now that he's 100lbs. I broke something for the first time. It was the steering bracket that the servo connects to. The rig is heavy and we did some crawling with it after. It's got a stronger servo in there and just a servo horn with no servo saver. The rest has been really good. (Knock on wood)

Thank you. It's the Bolink Air body. It's currently being sold by SabulaTech on eBay. It is styled after the Oldsmobile Aerotech speedrun car from the early 90's. I run this body on 4 of my speedrun cars.

Funny you should say that... I have a Honda drag body on the printer that is supposed to finish in about an hour and a half. I have a few different Fwd builds now though so I'm not sure which one will get it yet. As for gearing I do not remember at all. I have switched motors in this build a few times already. It is now running 32p gears for pinion and spur. My current weak spot is my axles.

Cool! I have 3 of the McQueen bodies here. i can't wait to compare notes as I am building one up now. A for this Jackson Storm, the wheelbase is slightly longer than the McQueen but quite a bit short than the Vendetta. I put the whole drivetrain on a Vorteks chassis to make it work. Then I did a little custom work to make it fit. I've been meaning to do a more in depth video but found the diffs tight after the swap. I need to get the diffs worked out and really run the car. As built it will handle 4s.

@hansh9681 I suppose it kinda was. I wanted to make sure the body sit at the right height and I didn't drill holes through the body. I have the same goal for the McQueen.

I am using a heavy custom belly pan on this build. This allows me to mount any esc or battery onto the pan. The motor fits fine in the stock location with the pan allowing me to mount and aim a fan right at the back of the motor.

Not sure yet. It felt slow on 2s so I upgraded it to 3s. Then it blew up a wheel. All before I had a chance to buy another gnss and decase it.

Thank you. This was a good exercise. Tried a few new things with my TT-02'S. And I learned how to make the cars way more stable now. That will definitely help in getting that big(expensive) build down the road without ending in a fire crash.....Hopefully

Thank you! It was fun to push my builds a little more. The secret seems to just be getting a good strong vintage motor and an esc that can handle it. Aside from that it's just managing the aero so it drives stable at speed.

@Rcprescription I feel I finally got it sorted with these builds. Now I need to rearrange my big motor car and apply what I've learned to that one. Hopefully that will lead to some really big numbers finally.

That would be great! I am all for it! I've already been developing a new gear set for it. I've got a 3d model I need to print and test. I also have some grinding and welding to do to try a metal gear set. I've already melted 3 gear sets on this one. I have 2 more here now but don't want to have to keep replacing them.

@TeamJunkYardDog I'm hoping to come up with something I can actually sell at some point too. Just gotta build and abuse it to make sure it'll hold up. Then we can all use bigger motors! (Like v8 swaps for all the compact cars)

Thank you! Unfortunately this was the previous version of that build and doesn't fit the @poorboysrc speedrun challenge this year. This old setup was designed to use shortcourse foam tires at the rear for proper front to back rake. This is part of the reason it currently flips and gets squirrely with the smaller tires for this challenge. (It's even done an 89 but I was shooting for 90 so that vid is still on a hard drive)

Awesome! Can't wait to see another one going fast! I have the electronics from a vendetta I'm gonna pop in this one. Should make it easier for my son to control since it will have the avc as well as throttle limit switches.

Between heat and thunderstorms and waiting on l arts I'm finally getting everything sorted out. I should have some good runs to share along with a random video this week.

Yeah. I was trying to match the front and rear wheels. I usually just run foams. Good reminder. Fortunately this car is really stable and was still going straight. It was just plowing the splitter into the ground.
