EFDC+ Explorer Modeling System (EEMS) is a complete modeling package for hydrodynamic, sediment transport, toxics transport, and eutrophication. EEMS includes EFDC+, EFDC+ Explorer, and CVLGrid.

Lake Mendota Thermal Dynamics
A three-dimensional EFDC+ hydrodynamic model was developed to simulate spatial, vertical, and temporal variations in Lake Mendota's water temperature. This video showcases model results visualized through EEMS's built-in tools, demonstrating reliable model performance.

Hi Anurag, congrats for one more tutorial, this about the basins plugin. I tested the EEMS in last months for south hemisphere areas, in Brazil and i could see the upgrades in the apps. The new grid+1.0 allow to use onlinebackground for south hemisphere, and i hope that in EEMS 12 the onlinebackground for south hemisphere be active. The EEMS is always getting betterr ever! It does work for lakes, lagoons, and estuaries. We have not applied it on Wetlands, and not tested it. If you have more questions, please email to sales@eemodelingsystem.com

Is there any possibility of defining plants capable of filtering salt (mangroves)?
Fernando, thanks for your question. Currently, EFDC+ does not have the capability to define the salt filtering ability of vegetation. However, there may be other surrogate ways to simulate the process. Please email me amishra@ds-intl.biz and we could discuss your use case and options on how to implement it.
If, for example, I defined zone 1 for the whole model, how can I put zone 0 again, so that I take into account the parameters of the "algae" tab? Because in tab 3, you have better options to define the algae.
To do that you can uncheck the "Use Zone Kinetics" option in WQ > Kinetics Tab. It is shown in Fig 1 here eemodelingsystem.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EK/pages/245202988/Kinetics

Is there any way to adjust the boxes, with the observed data? For example, if I have an hourly series, and I have an observed series with data with different intervals (15 days, 38 days, 98 days), is it possible to synchronize these data vs the simulated hours?
Thanks for your question. You can't plot different data intervals on the same plot. You would need to choose an interval that would suit different data sets. So if a data file has a 15 day interval, you can import it and choose the interval of the box and whisker as 1 month. EE will then plot model output with an hourly interval (depending on what frequency you set before the run) and data at a 1 month interval. Hello! If I define several ATM stations, does the program calculate the area of influence by Thiessen?
The approach we use is inverse distance weighting. You can also apply different weights to each station based on user inputs. You can have a look at the following EEMS knowledge base page for more information: eemodelingsystem.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EK/pages/243630239/Wind+Forcing That page discusses series weighting of wind forcing, but the same options can be applied to atmospheric series.

Suresh, theoretically we can do habitat analysis for any fish, as long as the physical and chemical characteristics of the habitat are simulated by EEMS. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions about specific fish or habitat characteristic.
