The problem is not Ming Meng but the kua. A correct way should be sinking the kua and shoulders, pushing the Ming Meng backward and the hands will automatically push forward. To be able to sink the kua one need to make the kua open.
You are right. Actually, the mingmen backward, tail bone forward and rotation of the hip joint must be synchronized, Because it is difficultly to touch tail born and hip joint, I talk about mingmen situation more.

不知道你看了哪个拳架视频。我觉得最基本的动作是上步与退步。如果有兴趣,我建议你看一下《方架太极的基本动作,上步与退步》(1),(2)。方架太极拳最重视的是锻炼调控胯关节的能力。太极拳动作缓慢的目的,就是要每个瞬间都能维持平衡。快动作往往会掩盖了不平衡的现象。

My teacher always says that tai chi is the most complex and intricate method of using force. The vast majority of Tai chi people use force. This is an external method. With an internal method there is no force. Without adding power, there is power. That is the ancient fist, quan fa. It is really painful to watch these videos. I just keep hoping I’ll find confirmation that someone is practicing tai chi internally. I want to believe that the origin was internal. 3 original movements. I do acknowledge that all the arts suffer from broken transmission and mistakes, from a sort of telephone game problem. A great practioner has a student, but the student doesn’t have somatic body realization and so in one generation the art becomes just the outside shape. Practiced as outside shape and technique, the art can never regain the truth of quan fa.
I agree with you, however, I believe that there must be many people who will do their best to inherit and carry forward the principles of internal martial arts.

你说得不错。 只是在方架太极拳中,主轮不是腰而是胯关节。我们在转身时主要是转动胯关节。转腰与转胯在不同的流派中有不同的理解。
