This song was originally recorded by The Dynamic Superiors in 1974. The Dynamic Superiors were from Washington, D. C. and recorded on Motown Records label. The songs on their first two albums were mostly written by the husband-and-wife team Ashford & Simpson. They recorded with moderate success throughout the 1970s. One of their bestselling hits was "Shoe, Shoe Shine" in 1974. They were unique in that Tony Washington was openly gay, and sometimes dressed in drag onstage.

The Dynamic Superiors was a group that started performing at my father's night club called the Shelter Room i met Tony and the rest of the group Tony had no cut cards he had that voice and wasn't afraid to be who he was RIP TONY !!! And his brother George was also in the group, I'm so glad the group was recognized and being from DC

He did ok , however he needs to sure his notes a little better ( he chops off the high parts) roll them / prolong them / high tone then smooth it off. Example : Instead of ending a word that ends with A , roll it to sing Aaaaaa 😎
