Absolute first start of my latest Kawasaki H2 1972 “Custom” build.
The bike is just finished after approx 6 months of quite intense building. All new and rebuilt engine, new paint, wider rear wheel and aluminium swing arm. A few extra customization bits here and there!
The bike was primed with the fuel petcock “ON” for a few minutes and it was kicked over three times with the ignition set to “OFF” before turning the camera and ignition on and starting filming….

The first couple of starts of my most recent build. A mostly original looking H2 in the gold paint scheme. There were a few issues I had to address after the first start, but eventually it ran OK. Enjoy!

First start of “SNOW WHITE” after being resurrected.
Переглядів 1,2 тис.3 роки тому
This is the absolute first start attempt after rebuilding my custom H2, “SNOW WHITE” with reeds, SSO dry clutch, JMC swing arm, and Öhlins Rear shocks. February 9 is not a good day to ride bikes in Stockholm.... 😳😳 The problems I have with the kicker is due to the PMC rearsets I have on the bike. Slightly too tight clearance between the raised footpeg and the kicker. I’ll get used to it! 😎

THE very FIRST start attempt after complete rebuild and restoration of my -74 H2 kawasaki triple. Extensive porting done by EBOS in malmoe, sweden, Factory pipes, Lester Wheels, dual front brake and lots of other goodies.Turn up the volume and enjoy!
Where's the air filter? Carb strip to follow!
Thanks for your concern, but this was the very first start and adjustments/synchronization were made after. Air filters were fitted after that. No worries! 😉
that thing sounds eargasmick ! i so want one
Freni a disco! Bravo! Mac III o H2?
H2, special build with parts from all years of the H2-series. 😉
What rims?
OZ Racing wheels from the late seventies.
Great job I really like the late model H2 C for looks, and I have no problems doing period correct upgrades. I have a 72 I'm doing a frame off and since it's pretty beat up, decided to just do a period correct resto. AP brakes and rotors, KYB Super bike forks from Yoshimura (period correct ones (38mm) ), Fox Shocks from the day, braced swing arm, fork brace etc.. Also thinking about Magnesium wheels 18" front and rear. Ain't gonna be cheap, but should ride nice.
Sounds like a great plan! Please show pics when you’re done! 👍👍
When there were bikes FOR MEN
my favorite bike..the legend
Start better with air filters.. Act as a choke...
No need. There’s a choke on the bike! And the filters were fitted after this, the very first start. 😉
@@kawasakipilot nice one... Thanks for reply.
Fuck climate change. Get a KAWAZAKI H2. FTW 1% 13..
🎵What beautiful music my friend 🎶. Thats one of the best H2 I've ever seen. New subscriber watching from Britain 😃👍 🏍️
Thanks for the kind words!
I was an asian in the mid 70s
what a breathtaking bike, the colors an everything, an what a sound them pipes have oh my lord.
Thanks for the kind words! 🙏
Terrific, but it needs spoked wheels.
Nah, the spoke wheels had to go…. 😎 This was a custom build made from lots of bits from different bikes and the wheels really makes it pop in my opinion! 😉
Sounds spot on. 👍
Fantastic job!
No tits were twist in the filming of this video :(
It looks so stunning i got rd 350 and kawasaki kh500 and finding widow maker you got stunning machine
Он знает о том, что надо масло наливать?
two-stroke engine, so have to use petrol mixture
That’s absolutely true. I use premix in all my H2 builds…😎
Musica per le mie orecchie ..🤣✌✌
You know that he’s a pro when he starts touching the exhaust 😄
Why would that be a problem? It’s an easy way to feel for even combustion in all three cylinders. The temperature says a lot! And, as a matter of fact, I am no pro. Just a decent hobby mechanic! 🤔
Che cattiveria devastante.
the world is a better place when this bike is in it
Thnx! 🙏
A to B. Rocket ship. I had a 500cc triple and a 350 twin. SoSo beautiful and thrilling to own and ride. Definitely do not make bikes as thrilling to ride today. They are just too safe to ride now.
You’re right. These bikes are thrilling to work on and ride…. 👍👍
She's bloody gorgeous, looks and sounds effing awesome. Strokers, there's nothing like them , sound and smell so sweet 👍👍👍☮☮☮
Thnx for the kind words! It turned out OK…🤘🤘
This motor bike could go mach 3 or 2280 km/h
😂😂😂 Yeah, right…!!
Please- ya gotta take those keys off the ignition key. Surely you don’t want to scratch up your lovely handlebar or beautiful top triple clamp? Love that green- - -
Thnx! That is a Good idea. I’ll tell the new owner about it! 🤔
Beautiful sound
Such a low tick over without stalling, beautiful looking and sounding.
Yeah, if you do it right it works like a charm! Thnx! 🙏
This is hilarious ,, rev it up , make some noise . This guy has no clue about an H2 , probably scared to ride it !
The only hilarious thing here is you making a lot of assumptions about me….🤔 I’ve been working on H2:s for more than 20 years so I know a bit about them! It Sure makes a lot of noice, don’t you worry about that! Revving? Yeah, if course, after this first start up I used it for a month or two and then sold it to a gent who is now enjoying it. If you check my channel you’ll find a video of me riding it around Stockholm… Scared to ride it? 😂😂 That IS hilarious for real!!
Well if you put drop bars or clip-ons on it , get rid of the stock airbox and put on K&N air filters , put on a second disc ( both dilled ) , put the calipers behind the forks , swap out the steel front fender for fiberglass , get rid of the center stand , add a second adjustable steering strut to the other side , Put in stiffer clutch springs , put some better shocks ( Koni's ) on the rear , put some real tires on it , Had the cylinders polished and ported , Swapped out the jets to match , and guess what ? You have a bike that this was always supposed to be , a rocket off the line on one wheel through 3 gears , a quarter mile menace with a top end of 146 MPH ! I know cause that was how I built my 73 H2
@@andrewdowney8786 Good for you! If you check out this build you may find a lot of those alterations also here. No porting on this bike, but Mikuni 34mm carbs and a Ralf Schipmann lock-up clutch. KONI:s at the rear and a better front fork from a 750 LTD and dual calipers from a Z1000. I’ve built other bikes with ported engines including reed conversions putting out some 125-130 RWHP. Check out my other videos on my channel for a pair of them. Personal taste is different among us all….🤔 This is what I felt like doing with this bike. Sorry if you don’t approve, 😢
Very well done ! Thumbs up. I never saw a triple kawa so well adjusted at idling.
Thnx! If you do it right from the start there’s not much adjusting needed… 🙏🙏
When these 3 cylinder 2 cycle bikes came out they were several orders of magnitude faster than their British and American bikes. Everyone I knew who had the Kaws wrecked them, and most of the wrecks were very serious to death
Sorry to hear that. I’m a bit too young to notice them when I was in my teens. Born 1964…🤔
Yew gonna ride it, or just burn it up?
I rode it a few times and then sold it… The new owner enjoys it very much!! 😎😎
Hammermühle
I can smell the castrol R From here
So fast. You must have a healthy respect for a bike like this, or it will kill you. Main problem with most of these 2 stroke bikes, steering and brakes weren't sufficient, and just couldn't stop or steer enough to save you..
You’re right… But it all can be improved with better components. This bike has KONI:s in the back and an improved front fork from a Z750LTD 1980. With dual discs from a Z1000 1977. 🤔
Nice bike. Love a triple 2 stroke. Bad mofo!
I had a 500 same year and the quarter mile might have been just a hair slower but off the line the 500 got the 750 almost every time. Beautiful restoration and I love the sound. Much better than the racket that the stock pipes made
Thnx for your kind words! 🙏🙏
Fucking fantastic bastard era))
😂😂
beautiful..but raise the rear end 30mm and fit some pod filters..
Pod filters were fitted after this first start and adjustments. The ride height is actually quite perfect and I like the stance…. 🤔
I was waiting for you to ride the bike man what happened you not riding the bike you just standing there playing with your bike what happened with you riding it man you got to ride your bike man come on ride your bike
Don’t worry! This was just the first start up of the bike when it was built from scratch. Check out my channel for a video where I ride it around Stockholm…. 😎😎
Sounds like a pissed off popcorn popper. Lol
That’s a nice description! I might use it myself…🤘🤘
Quando l’unico sensore era il buco del culo!
I like the bike and it sounds great but, I still prefer the standard zorsts and the sound it makes.
I took one, brand new, out for a ride on a mountain highway. Stupid strong power surge right at the beginning of the power band made the front lift. When it came down, you’d have to be aiming in the right direction because the front forks had a tendency to flex under lateral loads. Wobblers when pushed. A real screamer. If I could find one today, the frame and fork layout would have to change. But that motor was good one.
Got to put aircleaners on.
I did, after this first start up and adjustment sessions….🤔
Back in the day 1975 ish if I remember, I friend and I used to go and watch local scrabbling on Sundays ( South coast) . Most bikes then were 4 stroke British stuff but oh the day a local bike seller named Bob Gollner came with his Kwacker 750 triple side car outfit. Thump Thump thump followed by a howling scream
Nice contrast to the 4-strokes! 🤘🤘
Why can't we just have bikes like this today....cheap simple 2 strokes for 5 grand
Wouldn’t that be great! 👍👍
I had the 400 in candy apple red. Ended up selling it to a kid who took it back to Japan. Remember having to tune the 3 points and condensers .
Nice job setting the timing and gap on old breaker points….Kind of miss that! The H2:s have CDI-ignition. Ablation easier to set. 👍
makes all kinds of power. my brother had one, and the middle cylinder didn't fire, and it still had a ton of power with only 2 cylinders.
