Very beautiful! Are any of these in shade?
Yes, most of them get morning sun and afternoon shade. Some are in almost all shade (Tiny Tuff Stuff, Zorro, Pia).
Phillip, I look forward to every new video of your lush paradise. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you Douglas!
모정, 당신이 떠난 후, 무기여 잘 있거라 정말 재미있게 봤어요. 제니퍼 존스도 너무 예뻐서 좋아하구요.
How young and enchanting Jennifer Jones was in 1941.My all time favorite role for her was as Victoria Moreland in "Love Letters" with Joseph Cotten in 1945.
Very good! Greetings from Brazilian rose lovers!
I am in love with your beautiful garden, so beautiful!!!!
What is the lime green plant called next to Chinatown please? ☺
That is Elderberry 'Lemony Lace'
Birds, natural sounds and perfect roses😍
Oh how I would love to stroll through your garden and take in the fragrance of all your beautiful roses. Beautiful, beautiful!
Amazing beautiful garden…love the birds chirping in the background…no need for background music. Greetings from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 ❤😍👍
She's absolutely Beautiful, the film Portrait of Jennie is a favourite of mine.
Beautiful, really ! I thought tradescant was a crimson rose of David Austin ?
You are right. The rose is 'Tranquility'. I will see if I can edit it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Cóż za piękny ogród 🤩 Niesamowity, róże śliczne😃❤
🌹👍
I know Growing roses in the Pacific Northwest has to be an absolute joy compared to TN-black spot capitol of the world! Enjoyed your beautiful roses as always
We are not totally immune to blackspot here in PNW but they can be very beautiful here.
Very beautiful,thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Beautiful looking garden and roses, they are the bees knees.
Beautiful garden💕💕
Thank you!
Amazing flowers, amazing garden, new follower here
Thank you!
Beautiful regal homes so much styling and class. A lot grander and well built then the cheap McMansions of today.
Your Lady of Shalott is amazing.
Absolutely beautiful!
У вас очень красиво! Ухоженный садик! Розовые кусты и другие интересные растения! Они великолепны!👏
I just found you. I'm also in Vancouver WA. I have a strawberry tree growing in a pot and was trying to decide if I should plant it in the ground.
It grows very fast in the ground and tends to want to go horizontal in my experience. It is one of my favorite trees. It is a bit fragile when we get heavy snows and ice.
@@PhillipOliver Thank you for responding so quickly.
Beautiful ! I want to plant one but no more spot
Thank you so much for sharing! I have searched everywhere for the summer crush someone displaying the blue! Can you tell us your secret ingredient for the beautiful blues in your Hydrangeas? Thanks again!
Not really anything but the soil here is generally acidic so I'm sure that helps. I do have other hydrangeas though that go pink.
Very interesting, thanks for posting.
Beautiful
In the golden era of silent film, Dame Mae Fishman stood out as a luminous star, her expressive face and graceful movements captivating audiences worldwide. Born into a humble family in the Midwest, Mae's talent was discovered by a traveling theater troupe when she was just sixteen. She quickly rose to prominence, eventually making her way to Hollywood where she became a celebrated actress in the silent film industry. Mae Fishman appeared in an astounding 109 films, her roles ranging from comedic to dramatic, showcasing her remarkable versatility. Her performances were cherished, and she formed close friendships with fellow legends Charlie Chaplin and Mabel Normand. Together, they were often seen at lavish Hollywood parties, their laughter echoing through the grand mansions and studios where they spent their days. The trio's off-screen camaraderie was as legendary as their on-screen collaborations, often sharing a bottle of champagne or vodka after a long day of filming. However, the transition to talkies proved challenging for many silent film stars. Mae's thick Midwestern accent, once a non-issue in the silent era, made it difficult for her to secure roles in the new sound films. As her career waned, so did her spirit. Her reliance on alcohol, once a social indulgence, became a crutch. Vodka became her constant companion, and the vivacious starlet's life took a darker turn. In the twilight of her life, Mae resided in a modest apartment above the Pioneer Dairy Cafe at 323 Spring Street in Los Angeles. The once-glamorous actress could often be seen at the cafe, a shadow of her former self, quietly eating her meals alone. The staff knew her well, always ready with a comforting word and a cup of coffee to help ease her troubles. Mae Fishman's final years were a stark contrast to the vibrant life she once led. Her body, ravaged by years of heavy drinking, finally succumbed. On a quiet night, she passed away in her small, run-down apartment. The news of her death sent ripples through the entertainment world, a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of fame. When the time came to honor her memory, it was none other than President Ronald Reagan who delivered her eulogy. Reagan, a former actor himself, understood the highs and lows of Hollywood's unforgiving nature. In his heartfelt speech, he recounted Mae's contributions to the film industry, her indomitable spirit, and the laughter she brought to millions. He spoke of her close bond with Chaplin and Normand, the trio that had once been the heartbeat of silent cinema. Reagan's words painted a picture of a woman who, despite her struggles, left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment. He reminded the gathered mourners that though only six of her films had survived the passage of time, Dame Mae Fishman's legacy was much greater. It lived on in the memories of those who had seen her perform, in the stories passed down through generations, and in the silent reels that continued to flicker, preserving a piece of history. Mae Fishman's life was a tale of brilliance, camaraderie, and eventual tragedy. Yet, her contributions to the art of cinema and the joy she brought to audiences worldwide ensured that her star would never truly fade.
Thank you!
❤🧡💛
How tall do they grow?
5 to 7 feet although I've been able to keep mine at 3-4 ft. with pruning.
Thanks for the reply. One more question what color do they turn in the fall
@@ogkush1828 yes, I would describe it as a bronzy color.
how is your proud berry doing now? would you consider it invasive? I know the snow berry can be considered invasive.
It is doing great. I have not noticed any rampant behavior. I do have the white one and am constantly pulling it out.
@@PhillipOliver yes the white one is the snow berry. I am guessing with the new cultivars they are engineering them to be less invasive and not have suckers! I appreciate your response! Thank you!!
Such a wonderful tour, thanks for this!
How many years planted?
This is the third year.
@@PhillipOliver it looks so tall! How high did it grow in three years? I planted one last spring
@@northrupmj I just checked my records and I was wrong. It was planted in 2019 so it was 4 years old when I took the video. This is the 5th year. It grew fast though. Smoke trees usually do. The purple one is also a really fast grower.
Gorgeous ❤
Awesome! Beautiful garden with full of roses. Love David Austin roses. Thank you for sharing. 🥰
Thank you for watching!

Phillip, do you know about the Master Gardener Program of Clark County? I'm on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and like to feature LGBTQ gardeners in the little blurbs I contribute to the team. Would you allow me to write about you?
Hello, yes, I am familiar with it. Yes, that will be fine. Thanks!
Nice colors it’s beautiful ❤
Hello Phillip! So glad to have stumbled upon your channel. I'm a new subscriber and I wonder if any of your david Austin's are planted in a shady spot? I would love to have some of these beautiful roses but my yard has a good bit of dappled sunlight and shady areas in the summer time. Still bright but no direct sun for hours on end. I do hope you see my message. Looking forward now to perusing your videos. ❤
Hello - most of my roses get at least partial shade during the day. Most seem to do well if you can provide at least 5 or 6 hours of sun.
nice! how old is she?
6 years, going on 7 this year (planted in 2017)
Hi! Lovely video. How well does your flame flower hold its color in the summer - your zone?
Yes, it held the color well last year.
@@PhillipOliver thank-you for your feedback! I don’t think I’ll be able to resist buying one this year. It’ll be in full sun, I’m in northern virginia
@@urchinsushi2041 it is a spectacular tree!
W O W 🤩
Just bought myself one of these beauties. Bloomed it’s little heart out this year!
Good lord what a beauty. Legendary
In my Pacific Northwest garden it has grown pretty fast. About 15 - 20 ft in 5 years.
Hi, how quckly this tree grows please? :)

@@PhillipOliver why we r so unlucky ...we don't have the real bare root of david austin in india . So sad
