Stihl makes some stuff to clean the blades when they get gunked up. Maybe other companies do also, I don’t know, but I saw the Stihl brand at my local Ace Hardware which is a Stihl dealer, so I bought a small bottle and it works pretty good. If you clean the build-up of sap off the blades, then sharpen the edges….cuts like new!

Be careful to not damage the rhizome. Keep the saw level
