Official UA-cam Channel for IES College of Architecture, Mumbai
Making of The Plastic Cafe
Students of IESCOA , NSS Unit, Urban Sage Green Club collaborated with Stree Mukti Sanghatana, Parisar Bhagini Vikas Sangh and Thane Municipal Corporation for a unique project titled “The Plastic Cafe” It was also part of a competition entry for NASA ANDC trophy.
The concept was to build a small cafe using 100% Upcycle materials and students did that successfully. They also volunteered in form of “Shramadan” or Hands on making of the cafe.
The cafe will now function as a place to serve tea coffee and snacks in exchange of Plastic waste, thus conveying the message of “Towards Zero Waste Thane”.
This cafe will be run by wastepicker women associated with PBVS.
