If you dont mind me asking, how many tries did this take you?
Around 10+ tries. It was pretty annoying. The stage wasn't necessarily "hard", but the enemies attacks were annoying to deal with or it was just me struggling to read them.

Impressive! I hate this floor (and by extension, those with any Hati), because the attack animations on the Hati variants are so... unassuming? No big swings or whatever, just a small swing of the front body that I can't anticipate. I can't see through Miyabi's ice attacks to dodge!
I agree! It took me way more retries that i would have expected because of how weird his patterns felt plus the visual clutter of Miyabi attacks not helping. I was evading randomly sometimes because all of this lol
It's a shame that this game doesn't get any support anymore.
It is a shame indeed. The game overall turned out to be really good (although i have some gripes with many endgame choices they made) and i would have loved to have more content. I'm still high on opium believing there might be a DLC similar to Monster Hunter,expanding the game even further, but, i doubt it will ever happen. Hopefully a second Relink game in the future might still happen.
IDK if it has something to do with an update (The current challenge has a slightly different arena set up with two large pillars next to the start) but they seem way more aggressive since the current beta cycle. I'm dumb. The arena obstacles, or lack thereof, is random.
Sadly yeah, those damn towers are randomly generated so you can't even use them as a viable strategy to clear the challange. In this run specific i've used it as an extra since it was there, but it's important to start doing the aerial manouvering from that position... even towerless. If i tried to go up in the sky in some other places, i was getting one shotted.

Yeah this is useful to remember even later on for other bosses with dps checks since doing SBAs "freezes" time.

Game has transmog if you doesn't know. So if you want, you can change the look of the weapon, but keep the stats

@Helgepoi Yup there's transmong in the game. Go to the main menu - gear - select your character - Square (or X on Xbox layout). This allows you to choose all the other weapon you crafted on that character as skins. I've been lazy and didn't changed mine lol

Cool run! If you’re trying to get faster, might I suggest you don’t do link attacks? You can actually get more damage shredding the boss with combos while he’s stunned.
Thank you! This was the last video i made before actually learning about not doing link attacks and since then, i've decided to rerun the boss with pretty much every character adding Enmity as well in order to get better times. I was able to improve my Narmaya clear to 8.23 but i wanted to push at least below 8 minutes but as of right now, i got a little bit burned out from the Demo and so i didn't pushed with Narmaya anymore. At the same time, the hype for the final game it's getting higher and higher so i might try to push myself this weekend. Although i'm burned out from the Demo, i'm not burned out from the game... it's just amazing! Can't wait for it to come out.

Yoda is really fun! He has probably my favourite parry on his neutral special attack, he's fast and his animations are great! The way he works is interesting too. He's great!
The thing I admire the most is that you can deal with bomb monsters accurately without taking any replenishment packs.
I am a Yoda player and have tried to play with residual health, but I often replenish my health when dealing with bomb monsters.
Oh yeah, i can feel you about that. Enmity it's so stressful because of those mobs heals! In the scenario i get healed too much, i usually use a green potion and let me getting hit so i can go back into red HP again. Enmity still gives the biggest Attack boost, but i can see why many people prefer to use Stamina instead.

Amazing run! I noticed you never go for more than 3 hits on the loop combo, even when the enemy is downed. Is it better to go for Arvess as soon as possible? Zeta is super fun, but I'm still trying to get the hang of her combos hahaha
Thank you! Yes, as soon as you get the enhanced finisher (so after 3 normals) use it. The final attack has Zeta being stuck in the ending animation for a while, which you can cancel with a dodge (you just need to be a bit careful to not dodge too early or you will cancel the attack itself). You can go for more normal attacks if you need... for instance, if you might get hit by the boss or the mobs attacks on the ground, you can do a couple more normal attacks to stay safe in the air.

Oh thank you, much appreciated! Once the full game releases, we will see many skilled players mastering characters and fights pulling off amazing gameplays and i can't wait for it to happen! In the meantime, i'm trying my best to provide some decent level of gameplay out of love for this game (or well... just the Demo of it) which, hopefully, will be as amazing as this Demo it's setting it up to be.
Which sigils did you use besides Enmity?
Attack Power III, Enmity III and Combo Booster III. I don't use Tyranny III so i have enough HP to survive on the opening attack.
What traits did you run also are link attacks not worth doing solo?? Otherwise this was a clean run in my book
Attack Boost III, Combo Booster III and Enmity III. Tyranny III gives more attack but the HP reduction would have led me to die at the opening attack, which makes the Enmity setup ready right away. As for Link Attacks yes, in a solo setting is better not doing them! The boss gets downed for a longer period of time allowing you to deal more damage and having a better control over the fight as a whole.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, after some testing there is just elemental weakness, not resistances. His damage (with the tools he has available in the demo so far) is just that bad.
Makes a bit of sense though as it's easy to stay on the aggression and he also has the ability to freeze He should still get a bit of a buff but ye
Oh damn, i was sure that elemental resistance was a thing!! This makes Katalina even worse then since i thought her damage issue was related to her element (water like Lancelot). Thanks for the clarification!
@flavioluis8218 I'm not so sure. Everyone has basically maximum uptime with every animation being dodge cancelable and with combo continuation. Freeze is also easily the worst CC as shown in the demo because you are locked into the upkeep. Slow and Para you are able to dps at will along with your team. He also has the worst range. He kind of has no notable strengths at all.
@@soulofalbedo yes I don't think freeze is particularly strong in any manner Lancelot and Katalina do look a bit underwhelming
@soulofalbedo I guess that his "Skill spam" is the only really interesting thing on him. If we get some Sigils boosting skill damage, he sure gets some value from that... enough to make him a good character? Probably not... not in the Demo for sure. Hopefully the final game brings some more value in his charater mechanics making him a better character overall.

Thanks! I was using Tyranny, Combo booster and Stamina. You see, critical rate in the demo is not really helpful. Going from let's say 10% to 20% is nice, but having another Attack boost increases your damage way more. As of right now, the best sigils to use are: Tyranny III (or Attack boost III if the attack stats are pretty low), Combo booster III (basically a must on... pretty much every character except Io i think) and Stamina III or Enmity III. Later on when we can slot more Sigils things will change but for now focusing on your Attack stat is the best option to go for!

The game release is getting closer so gotta be just a little bit more patient! CPUs are pretty good too (not as much as other real players) but they don't disappoint! And well, you'll have a lot of "mamasitas" to choose for. Ahahah

Outside of Katalina being my main, i feel pretty much the same about all the characters. I did enjoyed everyone for different reasons and i find myself just rotating between them which doesn't make the game too stale! If what we have here in the Demo is just a little "taste" of what the final game will be, we're in for a treat!
Nice run! Why did you skip link attacks or the quick charged blue flurry (holding triangle at the end of your combo)?? Have you tried incorporating those in your dmg rotation?
Thank you! For Link attacks, it's better skipping them because the boss in this way stays in a downed state for longer compared to when you do the Link attack which not only makes the boss recover faster but it also pushes it away. Of course, this is for a Solo run setting... if you play in party it should be better to just use the Link Attack. I did tried the charged special at the end of the combo, but it is not as effective as restarting a full combo right away. You will be loading up your Arts level much faster plus you can miss the charged attack frequently (especially during the enraged phase of the boss). Combining the time spent for charging it plus the chance to miss it (Golem jumps a lot) and you waste too much time, making it not worth to use.
Using enmity eh? Damn that is real smart 😯😯! Can't call it no damage(technically), but it sure is the fastest solo done with Gran so far! Real nice work!
Thank you very much! Enmity boost is much bigger compared to Stamina, so it is the best option to go for a faster clear time! If you're able to avoid damage, Enmity is just the way to go (at least for a solo setting). I think this was a decent enough run, but some more dedicated Gran player can do even better!!

Enmity is a Sigil that you can equip that boosts your Attack based on how low your health is. Currently, is the strongest boost in Attack that you can get but, you have too keep your health low in order to have its effect active. At the start of the battle i let Golem hit me with his opening attack so i get low on HP right away, activating Enmity as fast as possible.
@@elgar5034 based on your gameplay impressions, will we require premade groups for hardest raids (lucius, dragon) ? Since we can just turn AI companions to be perfect.. What is the difference in rewards for S++ score? Anything worthwhile?
The Demo is quite limited actually. We can't level up nor drop gears/sigils/materials or anything at all, so i can't really tell you about it. I'll use the latest gameplay showcase that we had recently from Cygames itself. It seems like quests have: - First time reward (basically when you clear a quest for the very first time) - Rewards based on the rank - Rewards from completing submissions (which you need to clear anyway in order to get higher ranks) - The actual drop (the ones you get from the chest) Sadly this is all i can say about this since i have no idea how relevant/useful any drop in the game actually is since, like i said before, the Demo does not portray any of this. I wouldn't be worried too much though, the game will start off as being really easy and slowly will become harder giving you the time to get used to the characters and game mechanics (or so it seems at least). IA companions are great most of the time, but they can't compete with real players. They tend to do boss mechanics (for what i was able to see in the Demo) but they die too. They're not completely "Perfect" but they're not useless for sure. I think IA is pretty well done overall. As for the hardest content in the game, i can't really give you an answer... A premade party will always be the best option, but you can just use matchmaking and pray for a good group of people or you can use IA companions. The only thing i can say out of feeling after playing the Demo for way too much time, is that devs seems to have put a lot of thoughts and effort to make the game a great experience for everyone... either you wanna play alone or with other people. I doubt that the game will set the bar incredibly high for difficulty (like FF14/WoW hardest contet or Destiny raids or stuff like that). This is just my take about all this, but i have nothing to prove how difficult/balanced or whatever the "super" end game will be, but i sure can't wait for the game release... it has incredible potential.

Thank you very much! Sadly i keep losing time against the freaking mobs but Katalina damage it's just bad against them. I've actually tried to use "Stun Power III" on Katalina and a 3 Normal + Finisher is enough to trigger a Link attack on them, which kills them right away. Not only that, but with the whole Ares combo fills the Link gauge incredibly fast, making Katalina able to "crowd control" Golem quite a lot. The issue is that giving up on either Attack buffs or Combo Booster, makes her lose so much damage that makes it not worth it. I'm still gonna keep this in mind for the final game since it can be an interesting extra to have and, maybe, it can turn out to be pretty helpful against some future bosses... or well... maybe losing any attack buffs will never be worth it even later! ahahah

Attack Power III, Combo Booster III, Stamina III and first weapon (the one that gives more hp). This is what i use with Katalina in a Solo setup. The reason why i don't use the second weapon (which gives more crit. chance) and Tyranny is due the fact that Katalina needs to "tank" the damage in order to not lose Ares. Being able to eat more attacks from Golem was better than having more dps output with the risk of dying more often which pushes you to dodge and to lose Ares. Katalina sadly, can't get a great use of neither Stamina nor Enmity (in a Solo setup) due to how she currently works but, between the two, Stamina gets better value since her healing skill is present in her attack rotation.

I'm glad that this helped you out a bit! I think these solo runs are great to do because you need to have a better understanding of your characters in order to do well enough. At the same time, some things that don't really work well in a solo setting might work well in party! I love the fact that developers gave us the chance to go with one character only and that these bosses CAN be soloed... it adds another way to play the game.

Zeta main here, i've easily put 15+ hours into the demo already she's the most versatile character i've played with and you can go full damage without worrying about being hit. Dope video man
Zeta is incredibly fun to play and really strong too... one of the best characters we have in the Beta. Once you're able to get the timing of her aerial attacks properly, she feels really rewarding. Mastering her is totally worth it!

Thanks ahahha! A training room would be awesome, but i'm not sure if we're gonna have one... i'm incredibly hyped for the full game release as well! We can already see from some of the trailers and gameplays from devs how some characters will expand and hopefully there's much more that we haven't seen yet!
I think I saw a training room on the airship in some dev gameplays (like the one in the tutorial). Would be weird if they removed it for launch. I don't know how robust it will be tho.
Oh you're actually right about that one! Maybe it will have a damage displayed in it (like the original game) so we can test what combo or skills to use!
has anyone experimented with her dodges with a perfectly timed triangle at all? Im not good enough with her yet but i noticed she has a crazy small window for her dodge to input a triangle attack and you get a different animation. curious if its literally just a different animation or maybe something more to it. or nothing we can do with it yet until the full game
As of right now, i'm doing a solo run with all the other characters so i've put Katalina on the side but i will dive into this for sure. I had some moments where i was expecting Ares to go off but, it didn't, so you might be into something. This is what i love about the game right now, there are a lot of small mechanics the game doesn't tell you about and you gotta discover!

Amazing gameplay. I was literally just looking for a Katalina solo gameplay video so it was perfect timing! How are the PS5 Dualsense controller haptics during combat? Are they quite good, or just normal vibration/rumble?
Thank you very much! Katalina with the kit we have been given in the beta suffers a bit in a solo setting, but she's still really fun to play! Sadly, i can't answer you about the ps5 controller since i'm playing on my old PS4 (switched to PC during that console era). The game looks pretty good even on the base PS4, but it's locked at 30 fps.
