This is an original prayer to Macig Labdrön from the famous ritual of Chö, "Cutting Through." In this prayer, the practitioner asks to receive the blessings, empowerments and realizations directly from her. Macig lived in the 11th century in Tibet and is said to have realized full awakening during her lifetime and is since seen as a female Buddha. She was a yogini, which means that she was a la...
Guru Yoga "Calling the Lama from Afar"

This prayer is the culmination of devotion and surrender. The power of devotion is a key element in esoteric Vajrayana Buddhism. Faith, trust and devotion are seen as incredibly powerful agents to soften the stiff and rigid edges the idea of "me" and "mine" creates". In Buddhism the cause of suffering is said to be the idea of a self, which we perceive as independent and isolated from what surr...

Tashi delek julika 👏i met you before btw nice to c you after long years.
On the sign at the front, is this an unusual spelling for Dharma Centre ཆོས་ཚོཊ།? I've more often seen this spelling: ཆོས་ཚོགས། Thank you for your channel.
actually that spelling is an abbreviated form. you can abbreviated the combination of the suffix ག་ and post suffix ས with the reversed ཊ་
Your Tibetan is very clear to understand
Hi karma how you got this name ?
👍👍👍
Hi Karma, how are you? I'm a Sera Jey monk and a student of Geshe Gelek. I hope it doesn't bother you that I correct you about what you said in the beggining. Geshe Gelek actually studied around 23 years to get his degree as a Geshe Lharampa. Now in Sera Jey Monastery, in general, is 25 years in total. 19 years to become normal Geshe more 6 years for the Lharampa degree. Thank you for the video
of course you are welcome to correct me :) . actually I just checked and I said that he studied for over 16 years, which means more than 16. but it is great that you give more information it here in the comment for the viewers. and i actually did not now that about Seraje! thank you!
Such and inspiring.🎉

Continued Success to You! Tibetans are an amazing people...great contributors to World Culture and Art. Tibetan Buddhism may well be one of the most pictorial religious systems of the world. The Symbolism in Tibetan Buddhism is astounding...it s worth studying by anyone wishing to add new dimensions to Cognitive Science or the science of the human mind. Specialists in Tibetan may be able to understand better Tibetan Symbolism and Tantric concepts... strive to understand how the language is connected to the visual representations of Buddhist concepts.
So, in a nutshell, immersion and hard work. You're very lucky to have had these opportunities. How on earth did you pay for it all?
thank you! luckily india and nepal were very cheap at the time and the teachers and institues I studied at cost me like 1/10 from what I would spend a month studying in Europe. So very affordable studies. Although prices are little higher now, it is still way cheaper than studying in Europe
Thank you for the video! Also what is the music at the end? It's really lovely.
this is the music :) ua-cam.com/video/vTqpyiUVvEg/v-deo.html

Nerve up go
It’s a lot easier to think in Tibetan. Makes way more sense than English. Scriptural Tibetan is also not the same as spoken. I learned attending for my Root Lama and then did some translation until I had some brain damage from autoimmune disease and lost it and a lot of English. As I was re learning I really felt it was easier to think in it. Fewer rules to remember.
Beautiful mind, Beautiful you
Whom do you believe the creator in Buddhist philosophy?
