I just stumbled upon your videos when i saw the title “ stratus “ . Being a fan of cobham i decided to click the video. Little did i know it would open up a world of great music . So i started digging deep and i landed in spotify and downloaded your album music unites (2019). Blown away i hungered for more and that’s when i saw the you tube video “ Lyndon “ 1998. Common spotify , this album LYNDON should be in your playlist. I am baffled why you are not mentioned in the same breath as holdsworth, mclaughlin, scott henderson as one of the best fusion guitar musician and composer . What an injustice. I thought i heard everything then i landed here and i feel like this was a gift from heaven. Thank you for posting this and please make more of this esoteric music . God bless you even more ! Common spotify , give us an early christmas present . We need that LYNDON album 1998 on your playlist . Please please pretty please

In the 80’s I had a guitar/bass duo with a drum machine and this was our break song…..always dug the album (vinyl) it was from, with John Abercrombie on guitar. We also played Miles Beyond from McLaughlin’s Birds Of Fire album….without the drum machine, of course. In case anyone is interested if TV sucks and there’s nothing to do, my duo is on UA-cam, somewhere, playing Shakedown, again with a drum machine. The video was done forty years ago and I’m a geezer now and I have some videos on UA-cam playing some jazz standards. Also, if anyone reading this ever played the video game Earthworm Jim I or II, I ghosted many of the pieces on the game. There’s a video of that incredible pianist Tom Brier sight reading my banjo piece Andy Asteroids somewhere on UA-cam.

I guess when you are in Cobham's band you move from drums over to keyboards. :-) All kidding aside, it's mindblowing how talented Gary is on both drums and keyboards. Is there anyone else out there who is a multi-instrumentalist with drums being one of the instruments? I can't think of any, at least someone good enough to play gigs, not just noodling around off-stage.
