This is what changed my life. So many times, I'd be shaking, sick, fearful, withdrawing again and again and couldn't make meetings. Mark was my Sponsor before I ever had one. Thank you Mark. Today I am sober , content, Spiritually fit for 2 years and 9 days. Thank God for AA.

Why are you harassing me? AAs primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety. Not intimidation. This video is in response to an AA meeting I just attended in which I was being intimidated, threatened. AA should be a place to feel safe and work on sobriety. It should not be a threatening environment. I am not a 'baby' or 'majesty'. I am being harassed for no apparent reason. What is your point? I have not harmed you or anyone else. I have a month clean and sober, and would like to keep going. Why are you harassing me? Please answer.

AA is the easier softer way. God is the real remedy. Bill W did drugs while claiming sobriety, was a womanizer, Gambling addict, Basically switched his addiction for other addictions. Not to mention recovery rate is currently around 5 percent at best. More is known about the mind today than in 1939.

Mark and Joe hawk (and my sponsor at the time who shared the message of AA) completely made my experience with the steps just that a true experience and not just knowledge or a conception or a theory or an idea they made the gut level experience fruition well in reality god gave that experience to me. So grateful for men and women who carry the message that there is a solution and it's not human including sponsors kids meetings the steps or sponsoring other women but those are things that lead me to having a relationship and an experience with god.

Seems like this guy is perpetuating a lot of dangerous stereotypes: if you do this then this will happen to you. Etc. etc. How many ppl become mislead into believing some tripe that one of these speakers is blabbing on about which ends up becoming a misguided belief system for them? And of course since this is a 12-step program nobody is ever held accountable.

@TheBardicDruid Greetings! My apologies, I've been busy lately and haven't had time to give your rather rude reaction a response. One thing early on that stood out to me in this man's "talk" was lambasting people who come in the program with a crack cocaine problem where he pretty much stated that those individuals are doomed to failure. So tell me that if this is "reality" as you put it I'd love to see some statistical proof to back his claim. Interesting enough, by that logic EVERYONE coming into the program has a slim chance of success if we look at the numbers. Unfounded claims like the man made (there are others within his dialogue) I believe are ultimately damaging and is another reason for many people to avoid these programs that may have actually helped them.

    • @TheBardicDruid

@@joeldavis5815 "lambasting people who come in the program with a crack cocaine problem" That's why there's Cocaine Anonymous. "if we look at the numbers" The only people who post numbers are Rehab Clinics trying to boost sales. "Unfounded claims like the man made (there are others within his dialogue) I believe are ultimately damaging and is another reason for many people to avoid these programs that may have actually helped them." Is straight BS from Rehab clinics. I've been in AA for 32 years, only people who have no understanding of alcoholism believe the BS in your comment.
