What is a Voltage monitoring Relay or VMR?
A Voltage Monitoring Relay is a protection device, whose function is to monitor power supply voltage, and provide a safe shutdown of equipment in the event of voltage abnormalities.
How does Voltage monitoring relay works?
Three-phase VMR have a built in Micro Control Unit or MCU which monitor power supply qualities like under voltage, over voltage, phase imbalances or asymmetry, phase sequence, and phase loss. Once any of these is detected above or below the trip value setting in the VMR, the relay will send an output signal to isolate an electrical equipment from the power supply.
Application
It can be used as a protection device in the distribution Panel. If integrated to a main breaker control, it can isolate a number of feeders to protect different loads from voltage abnormalities present in the main power line.
It can also be used as an additional protection device for motors. VMR output contact can be wired in series with the thermal overload device, Where a voltage quality is required to operate them properly and safely.
VMR Specification.
To understand more of the VMR, let's get familiar with basic VMR specifications.
1. Supply voltage :
This is the rated voltage of VRM that match with system voltage thats need to be monitored.
2. Frequency:
50 or 60 Hertz, depending on the standard frequency your country is using.
3. Protection features:
Depending on your system requirement there are 5 basic protection functions that you can include in your specification list
3.1. over voltage
3.2. under voltage
3.3. Phase asymmetry or phase
Imbalance
3.4. Phase loss
3.5. phase sequence or phase reversal.
4. Time delay:
Your VMR will have two time delay functions. First, on delay, when the relay receives normal power, the output signal changes status, after the on delay timer elapse.
Trip time delay, once the relay detected a voltage abnormalities, the trip timer starts to count, and output contacts change status after the trip time elapses.
5. Output contact:
Specify the Number of Normally open and Normally close contacts.
rated ampere, contacts are specified to indicate the current load limit.
6. LED Indication :for active fault signals. This makes troubleshooting easy, as the voltage abnormality is visually available in the relay.

Sir pwde po ba i install ang ct sensor sa outdoor? Sa main wire sa labas ikakabit before papasok ng main breaker. Pwde po ba sya mainitan at maulanan?
Yung material nya pang indoor lang. Mas maganda sa loob ng panel. Madali masira ang insulation nya pag direct sunlight at ulan. Baka magawaan pa ng paraan maitago sa may bubong.

I have been using my Milwaukee M18 batteries (from my drill driver and electric impact) to power heated grips on my snowblowers, which really works slick! I was going to install one of these modules on it so as not to run the battery too far down, but after looking at how fragile they're built, I decided to just hook up a voltage gauge instead and just watch the voltage so it doesn't drop too far. My 1-1/2 ah will shut down at 17.6 volts so that's my cutoff line.

Please confirm the wire colour of CT, Red-Black polarity
Red is for positive, Black is negative. In the video, i extended the short wire from the CT. That is why the black becomes blue when connected to the inverter.

If it works in your set up then its good for you. Just make sure your CT polarity was connected at correct terminals. We can do also flick test of the CT to determine its correct + or - cable. Sometime manufacturer makes mistake also. I did flick test on my CT before installation.
I have two LifePo4 batteries, Basen Green 11.7kWh 51.2V (BG), and Ecoflow Delta pro - inverter 48V 3.6kWh (DP). I use BG to charge a DP battery via XT60 solar input (400W 8A). With the DP application, it is not possible to set the BG not to be completely discharged? Would be such adjustable 48V DC Over and Under Voltage Monitoring Protection Relay suitable for my batteries, so that voltage limit (under 51V) will stop charging DP from BG battery?

Sir, regardless of the motor winding inside the motor. Star or delta configuration. The motor can run forward or reverse, just swapping any two of the power supply cables.❤

How can u tell if the battery is charging or not
You need to have a multimeter atleast to check voltage. Before charging and give a little boost charge if your battery voltage did not rise or no changes. You have a battery problem.

SSR mean Solid State Relay. in this presentation I uses a DD SSR, control is DC and output is for DC since its disconnecting the battery DC supply directly.

You need a momentary contact switches and not a holding contact switches.
This would be the best explanation I've found, but it's lacking rhythm, if you improve the robot voice and long pauses you have a bright future.

Yes you can install two GTI solar in your electrical system. Two CT limiters in the same wire of the main power supply. Sorry for the very very late response.

Ratio CT is 1000:1. That is the specification required for this GTI Sofar model

Its been more than three years no issue with my solar set up.
Shouldn't the CT clamp go on the live feed cable coming in to the RCD and arrow putting out of the house so the CT clamp shows how much is going back to the grid. I am talking about Sofar hybrid inverter.Thank you.
Yes, thats what I did in the video. Same with grid tie and hybrid sofar inverter. CT limiter was clamped in one leg of the main cable and arrow pointing out of the house.

Kung wala kang net metering kailangan. Naka enable ang reflux derating boss. Kung meron net metering i set naman sa disable.
