Useful video thx buddy
Couldnt ever get my head around how to use one of these
I have an 09 Civic with this same issue. I’m going to have to give it a try with the warmer wet weather coming
Did this on my 08 civic a coupel weeks ago , didnt fix my leak, mine is on drivers side.
Interesting what material did you use to seal it ?
Excellent video! Very thorough, explained and showed each step and trick. There are dogs smart enough to follow these instructions. UA-cam should have a star rating or something to spread these content providers.
Thanks for the comment that’s exactly what I was hoping for easy and quick
@@loveyourdj Bought the parts at Lowe's in the plumbing section, and picked up a set of long handed pliers (curved and straight) for $6 at Harbor Freight. They were a must have item for the passenger side fix. Finished the job about a month ago. The car was returned to its 'driveway' status, so I can keep working on destroying what is left of the clear coat. It looks completely beat, but still a good car to drive. Most importantly, it is no longer filling up with water. Has survived several severe downpours. I'm chalking this as done.
@DodgyBagehot great job man. Sounds like you got it taken care of !!
What did he clean and prime with ?
Not sure I can find out for you.
u find out?
Well done - very professional DIY!
How is the Ryobi batteries working for you with this set up?
No issues I use a 9amp hour for my 93sv all day have zero issues, on my Live Scope in this configuration it would last about 6 hours.
I have the same issue, the two board conflicting with the lipped edge of the bow. Could you post a list of parts and link where the shaft and stainless hardware was purchased, sizes, etc. I would really appreciate it. Thanks
That's Awesome Man!
A great friend hooked that repair of the bracket up that's not my strong point.
Im from Argentina... do have more pics to post?
Hey bro did it fix it? And what was the primer he was using? Thank you.
I've a similarly looking issue in my Toyota Matrix. I was told I'd have to take it to auto glass shop to remove and reseal windshield. Any idea how can I check where exactly it is leaking, on a side rail, or under the windshield seal? Thanks.
I am not a sure with a Toyota but what I would encourage you to do is to check out UA-cam for any videos that are applicable to your vehicle. I would imagine it’s similar to the Honda and that you takeoff a ring groove trim and get to the body seal. We did not have to take out a windshield to fix this car but just use body sealer on the welds of the body.
@@loveyourdj OK, thanks for replying
Thank you for the helpful video. I have a 2009 Honda Accord and just sprung a leak. wondering if the clear flex seal will work the same as this sealant? Again, thanks for this video.
Drew I would use the body sealer they recommend , the 3M body sealer. I would hate for you to do all the work just to have it fail in the future. 3M Ultrapro Autobody Sealant, 08302, Clear Color, High-Solids, Heavy-Bodied, Fast-Curing, Solvent-Based, 5 oz Tube
Thank you! This is my exact car, same faded paint and all 😂
Glad to help !
👏
Thanks for the Video. I just replaced my headliner 2 weeks ago and 1st rain of the year, stained the headliner with a leak on the passenger side. Just my luck.
Hope it helps, not to terrible to fix ! Good luck !
