I just commented on your last reaction to Scandal and I had mentioned "Fanfare" in there, then noticed you'd reacted to it so removed that part. This song is for the anime "HIGHSPEED Étoile" I love they are still doing that which they are known for. I first heard them in the end credits for Bleach (Shojo S) and Full Metal Brotherhood (Shunkan Sentimental) and got hooked. You mentioned "HER". In 2018 at Xmas time during a tour they announced their own label to "freely explore themselves and their artistry" sounds more like they were tired of label interference IMO. Good for them, I don't think a record label is required anymore. It's interesting that Hanabie. usually do something extreme, fast or heavy to shock the listeners, but this one it's almost as shocking that they didn't do that. I love the song and i really like that Hanabie. is in a place where they could do almost any style or genre and get away with it. Cheers

The main difference is that recently Band-Maid have not produced as many slower paced songs as they did in the past. Myself and many fans have missed them, as they often show Saiki's vocals and Kanami's guitar work at their melodic best. Great reaction- Thanks.

MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song. Miku and Saiki's lyrics are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." It was performed for the first time in concert earlier today in Tokyo with Michael Einziger of Incubus playing the guitar along side Kanami. This is not the first time I’ve seen them perform without their maid gear. They wore non-maid outfits during their acoustic Christmas performance. If I didn’t know Mike was involved in the writing I wouldn’t have guessed they had a cowriter, though only because they always try new things. I would just have assumed Kanami was listening to late 90’s rock. It feels different from their other music, but they do that a lot. It’s one of the many things I love about the band

Some background info: They're a six member group, half of the group consists of '02 liners aside from the drummer who's a '98 liner and the keyboardist (the one you said you liked vocal wise) who's an '01 liner. They're the second band jyp has put out apart from day6. All the members are involved in the music process (writing and composing wise) Their leader is the drummer (who's also the oldest in the group). The youngest in the group is the bassist. Their discography is very diverse genre wise, they had dipped their toes in pop punk adjacent stuff in the past, but for this album they submerged themselves completely. You're gonna enjoy it for sure.
