Rocktol 12-in-1 Multitool - Essentially Half a Leatherman Wave
Was looking to get the craftsman 1/4 set. Odd that they have the 1/4 sets priced the same with one set having both metric and sae and the other set only metric but with a bit adapter... i wonder what the benefit is
It looks like the chisel set I bought a few years ago but be forewarned - I don't believe there is a metal strike plate on the back of the handle. It may be fine for light use but being a carpenter I should have spent the extra $$ and get a better set. I beat the back of these up pretty badly plus there is some "slippage" when striking. Good luck!
wow
Love ur channel uncle ham keep it up 🫶
I bought the chisel set, at that price from HD, and I like it, and glad I have it
It's a Taiwan/Vietnam tool set, so how was it ever worth $350? Matco charging that doesn't mean it's worth that.
@@bills6093 good point, I totally agree. I think it’s a quality Taiwanese/Vietnamese tool set and if you can get a good deal on one I would recommend it 100%
@@PrestigeWhirlwide Well, a Craftsman 159 piece tool set is $99 at Lowes with a lifetime warranty.
@ this matco silver eagle set is way better than a craftsman set. Craftsman isn’t what it used to be, I had to warranty out a ratchet over the summer and it didn’t take a lot of force for the anvil to break
@@PrestigeWhirlwide I doubt it will be "way better", and you may have no warranty at all for an Ebay purchase.
@@PrestigeWhirlwide Silver eagle is just husky, we used to find double stammped sockets all the time on the truck. I got a few sockets that have both logos
Dude, that first black tool box was clearly dented/smashed on the right side! Don’t you think that’s why “it” was reduced?
Ratchet sounds bone dry. That's a smoking deal. Great value
The craftsman boxes are too flimsy. Look at the thickness of the metal. On their deep drawer there is only one slide per side. You pull the empty drawer out all the way and shake it side to side and you will see the difference
A dented Craftsman box is a common sight to see... my buddy ordered one and had to go through THREE duds before the fourth was delivered to the store and finally in good shape. Those are made of some seriously thin-gauge steel these days.
I had the set delivered 3 times before they weren’t dented. It’s held up fine. In my erea they use subcontractors for deliveries. I caught them on camera push them off the back of the truck.. I have these and the new harbor freight is US General series 3 much thicker and better slides. I also I have the icon center section and it’s definitely the best of all.
Bosch doesn't make Sawzall blades, and yeah, naturally you'd prefer Milwaukee for those. Regarding that Skil combo set, those batteries charging via USB isn't really a good thing. I wouldn't say it's about time unless that's what you say after you've waited for hours to give them a full charge. Also, that's not a "recip tool" that comes with it; it's an oscillating tool.
@@PANZERFAUST90 you say Bosch doesn’t make sawzall blades and yet they are in my video and I’m holding them. I can assure you they are real and this wasn’t filmed in a parallel universe where Bosch doesn’t make sawzall blades lol
@PrestigeWhirlwide Milwaukee makes Sawzall blades. It's their brand.
Seeing how Bosch owns Freud/Diablo, who make top tier saw blades, I doubt they would be rebranding Milwaukee saw blades.
@@gnarwhal2642 right? That would be copyright infringement. Bosch would never call their blades Sawzall blades, but I think this all went over his head.
@@PANZERFAUST90 it’s similar to Cresent Wrench or Vise Grips. You use nomenclature to describe the tool and sometimes it’s a trademarked brand. I get what you are saying now. Thanks for watching and commenting
Too little too late for Christmas deals.........go to harbor freight or Menards for deals.......Lowes is a ghost town!
Clearance?......just one and dented!....lol.....Lowes or home depot have no deals.....you are bee essing us dude!

BOYCOTT CORPORATE AMERICA NOW !
Corporate America runs your economy and makes your country the rich powerhouse it is today. Move to a communist country if you hate wealth and prosperity so much.
Quite a bit of damage...the 2nd drawer down probably wont even open...
@:22 seconds That tool chest is so cheap because of the BIG DENT
Went and walked around Lowes today. I found 0 good deals and added nothing to my collection.
Same here. I went to my local Lowes after seeing videos about "crazy" markdowns... there were absolutely none to be found. It seems the markdowns only happen if that particular store (or maybe area) manager wants them done.
Same here walked in and walked out, no deals!
Oh, Cold Steel collaborates with Temu 🙂 100 bucks for an SRK with a CPM 3V blade is a steal ! In Europe, the lowest price for the same knife is 170 euros (~177 USD). Like many, I love this knife. Out of the box, it's a marvel : good grip, the blade profile is as pretty as it is aggressive. Two negative points, not always the case but it can happen and that's what makes the price for CPM 3V in Europe too expensive : 1) the sheath can be poorly adjusted (this is not due to the grind, I have a SRK San Mai VG10, hollow grind, and the sheath provided with the knife is much too tight. You have to force it out of the sheath but also to put it back in...) 2) the handle can become loose if you use the SRK for batoning. If such a thing happens with a SRK SK5, we don't care because the price is so low. With a San Mai VG10 or a CPM 3V, it's more annoying. This is what makes me think that the SRK is rather intended for tactical use than survival use, despite the "Survival" in its name SRK. The swedge plays a big part in this opinion too : it's a real piercer. But despite these two potential weak points (these are mass-produced knives, not crafts) its look is timeless... And I would love to see European dealers take inspiration from MidwayUSA 👍 Thanks for this review !
Such a shame.. I really love the design, but the quality is not there. I wouldn’t mind paying 30-50 dollar for a good d2 version.
Nice set👍🏻 I really would like to get some quick release ratchets, but the internet keeps telling me how weak they are lol. I wish someone would do some testing within like brands between lock/non-locking ratchets... Has someone done testing!? ... It just seems like an awesome concept, I'm tired of oily handed stuck sockets and I'd love to get a few Kokens with that feature.
@@cblack1863 the UA-cam channel “project farm” has done alot of torque tests of ratchets
That is a great set, no more at that price.
I bought a used milwaukee 56 piece 3/8 set on amazon for $70 after tax. I returned that used one in place of my new store bought set that I spent $108 on. Basically saved $40 on a new set by exchanging a used set. I dont care for milwaukee's 3/8 ratchet. I find it kind of heavy, and thr backdrag is ok. I'm waiting on my Nepros NBR390A to ship from japan, to compare with my Koken 3725z and see which one I want to carry.
What about Milwaukee adjustable wrenches?
@@MrHiram30 I don’t have any of those yet. I might try them out sometime soon, thanks for the suggestion!
Very nice set my friend! Can’t go wrong with that price 👍MERRY CHRISTMAS
@@tannerwest6823 thanks! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Matco usually requires proof of purchase for warranty claims and eBay will probably not be sufficient. That's why for something more "Budget", I would go with something like Tekton for the following reasons: -Tekton does not require a receipt for warranty -Tekton is made in Taiwan -Tekton offers much wider coverage including Metric and SAE in deep and shallow -If you buy a 1/4" and 3/8" set for about $200 total you get a TON more: 4-14mm & 5/32-9/16" (1/4") 6-24mm & 1/4-1" (3/8") Breaker Bars, and more
Matco has never asked for proof on hand tools. you just fill out the online forum, fun fact if you have one f the older 36 tooth ratchets and you send it in you will get a brand new 88 tooth ratchet as matco will only rebuild a ratchet on the truck anything you send it gets replaced with a brand new tool.
What a great deal! Sockets remind me of capri/olsa.
Really, are you that much of a limp wrist that a little back drag is causing you issues. Give me a break. I started out 45 years ago and we had 36 tooth ratchets and some even less, no one complained about back drag and we all got the job done. The advantage of newer high tooth count ratchets is not back drag but less swing arc to re-engage the ratchet teeth. I have never seen a bigger bunch of wimps and limp wrists that complain about back drag than todays mechanics.
I always thought the blade is made that way because of how the Triad lock works when you go to close it one handed. The blade needs a portion for it to fall onto your finger else you would cut yourself.
Just got this Myself bout to use it Right now I had to see, the filling up part, cause I was curious if you had to plug it in, in order to fill up, but I see you don't have to 👌🏽
So what are you buying at the same price point?
@@tomk3635 Gearwrench and Quinn are great ratchet options when you can catch them on sale. Both are Taiwanese tools made by Apex Group

@@chrisdart5640 you’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
48 minutes? The latest is a measly 29. 😂
Debating on these or the kobalts
@@BOOGiNS get the gearwrench, they tested really well by another UA-camr ‘Project Farm’
@PrestigeWhirlwide I went with the gearwrench. Tractor supply had em for $64.99 One thing i noticed, I dunno if it's the same with your set. But the quality of the ratcheting mechanism varies greatly from wrench to wrench in my set. With almost all the metric ones ratcheting smoother than the sae ones. Maybe it's just a coincidence. Glad the metric ones are smoother since I'll be using them more often. But my 5/8 feels like there's sand in there. So clunky. Thanks for the recommendation tho. They seem like a good deal
@@PrestigeWhirlwideI will say tho the organizer that the kobalts come with is greatly missed with these gearwrenches. This stock organizer is kinda trash

Over old Leatherman tools I think Leatherman still beat song when it comes to like the charge the way the rebar and stuff like that. But I think sog beats Leatherman with all the new weird stuff leatherman's been coming out with lately
@@TrojanSalesmen1 exactly, I almost bought a Leatherman Free P4 on Black Friday but then I watched a couple videos on it and found out that tool has some serious problems. I’ve owned the charge, the wave, the blast, the fuse, the signal and I’ve had zero issues with them
That's because craftsmen
@@TomBrooks-u9l good point but the V-Series have some good features and not many drawbacks. They are a good value at these prices
The same 2 things I say to every person who reviews the Powerpint: 1) you don't need to push the tab, simply open another tool to disengage the lock, 2) the scissors are left-handed, using them with the right hand makes them underperform.
@@adawolf9483 interesting, you must be a southpaw!
@@PrestigeWhirlwidetry using the scissors with your index finger instead of the thumb, game changer
Sorry, first video but I adore the fact your printed out the intro rather than having a logo screen. AND THE PRINT IS IN BLACK INK ONLY I had to double check if that was the actual colors. Love it!!!!
all.. ALL tape measures should be printed on both sides... smFh
They'd have to charge more and most people don't want to pay extra for something they don't want.
Been daily carrying one for about two months now and it does the job. The Power Pint is a good tool for the money
Please just deals not the yak yak 😂

How they hold up? Buy em or Avoid em bud?
Increase playback speed to 1.75x and this will be more like a normal conversation. Great video, good details.
Yeah, that’s what I want is an ice cold metal bar as a handle?
@@Drewcipher5150 good point, maybe not the best tool set for certain parts of the country but the extension bar as the handle is pretty slick in my opinion
Aren't these prices gonna come down more...........after Christmas? No? Isn't that what happens every year? Wait.......these prices will come down because they need to move stock, all year long. I made a mistake to shop impulsively thinking I was paying the going rate at Harbor Freight. Had I waited (which I did on mini tool boxes) for Black Friday, I would have been better off. After Black Friday, three weeks.....I found some great price drops on stuff I wanted? Now.......I'm saving to clean up on the post X-mas sales. Be patient.
@@jimbeam7160 stay tuned I will show some after Christmas tool sales as well, and I will be buying and reviewing some tools as well! Merry Christmas!
