You have to remove it from the bottom since the tip is covered with the honey comb. I removed it before installing since that made more sense. There is a hole on the side to unscrew the db killer.

No cat. A very small amount of lag in street and rain mode in low rpms. But I ride in track mode most the time and it’s perfect.
