Thx. no i haven't - i bought it exactly how it is (8 out, fx). My screen is not that bright irl. There is a guy on YT showing the 4000 screen replacement and he made it look/reports fairly easy fix.

Somehow, the more effort we once had to put in to achieving something wonderful made it extra wonderful. Kinda like the days of the independant video rental shop. Or maybe I'm just old and nostalgic.
It's true. Working with old machines makes my choices more considered - my samples more heavily curated. It also helps me commit to ideas. I think the process helps to form the results and there's value in this process.

This is pretty much exactly how I use my S30000 XL. When I want to go lofi. I bring it down to around 26k. Then spdif out to my interface . You can get alot of different character out of this machine.

Literally all you need to do is use the piano section as the hook/chorus, add a nice ass bass (keep it simple like some early sweatshirt type shit) and you've got the song right there bro this goes nutty
