NeoDen4 Pick and Place Machine Crashes | Part 2
Переглядів 6872 роки тому
The NeoDen4 pick and place machine crashed because the controlling software failed to move the nozzle up to clearance height. You will see the nozzle slam into the rail feeder twice. After the first crash, the software attempts to move the head again without addressing the underling problem. I pressed the emergency pause button on the machine or else it would keep slamming into the rail. If any...
Motion Sequence Error on NeoDen4 Pick and Place Machine
Переглядів 1,1 тис.2 роки тому
The NeoDen4 machine software seems broken. Under normal conditions, the nozzle goes down in z depth to pick up part from feeder or place it on the PCB. It then moves back up to the clearance height before proceeding so that it doesn't crash into other things. However, this machine doesn't operate properly and the video captures moments when the machine moves with the nozzle in down position cau...

How is the drum Collection connected to the high Voltage Power Supply?
Thank you for explaining the process very nicely.
How to clean the plastic waste before going for electrospinning? Does it require any special cleaning technique or detergent and water is enough?
when you are doing this, how are the fibers forming a sheet or layer without sticking to the bottom layer like if it was a fabric roll? or does it dry up really fast?
I really like this, thanks
Hi, great video! I noticed that you mentioned mixing 0.431 g of PVP with 0.569 g of ethanol. Considering the solubility of PVP, especially with a high molecular weight, wouldn't this result in a very viscous solution or possibly incomplete dissolution? Could you clarify if you used any specific conditions, like heating or prolonged stirring, to achieve this mixture? Thanks!
Can you make Antimoney Tin Oxide Nanofibes using Electrospun and the polymer should be PVP ( Mw =360kW). ALSO What if use different Mw of PVP?
I tried electrospraying starch in alcohol. It charged my quartz glass enclosure electrostatically and nothing could be trapped at all. Needle produces ion eind which blows away everything. I like your setup with metal surounding the trap to prevent from charging up. Will continue to tweak my setup
can you spray glycerol droplets? They will not evaporate and will be easy to clean
Still using the machine? Root cause found? Gave up?
I have a Neoden 3V. It is a buggy machine. Without reason it will corrupt file that was working perfect and make a mess .. That machine is a waste in of time and money
great explanation Electrospraying+ion trap
Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Was the needle charged at 6kv positive and the grounding plate 30kv negative?
When we making nano coating using PVP as a polymer binder, does it Dissolve after preparing a coating?
Can i construct a high voltage source setup at laboratary
Can you please make a video on Antimony Tin Oxide Oriented Nanofibers using electro spinning method?
Which type of Polyurethane is suitable for the preparation of Nanofibers? Please let me know.
Can i disperse fe2O3 in PVP solution with water?
i wonder if this is how insulation has been made for decades..

EXCELLENT VIDEOO!!!
If you spin horizontally instead of vertically you will not get splatter and drips.
Could this process be applied in an anoxic environment to metal alloys?
Can dripping be avoided by turning the setup upside down?
What is the cost of the power supply?
Amazing bro! it is incredible!! thanks for sharing!
What DC motor did you use to push the syringe? I assume you'd want something that can run pretty slowly
Looks like a dc motor with integrated reduction gear. A worm gear should give you plenty of torque and slow continuous rotation.
Very clear demonstration But why you didn't mix the two solutions in one syringe from the first step? Why use separate syringes and then use coaxial spinneret if what I desire is mixing them into one nanofiber at the end?? What difference would it make? And if so could you please design an experiment please? Electrospinning is my thesis subject!
Hey, I hope I'm not late for answering your question. I'm not sure about what is the precise objective with this machine, but you could use two different channels to create more than one layer on the fiber. Probably why he's doesn't mix them from the first place
@@brunofilhoujose3022 thanks! Actually I defended my thesis in July 2023 successfully, but thank you so much! I wrote that comment whilst I was at the start of writing the thesis!
@@tt7762 That's great man! I'm actually thinking about doing mine on electrospinning too. Congrats on the successfull thesis!
@@brunofilhoujose3022 it's a good choice indeed, I'm rooting for you! Best wishes! I heard about new methods for electrospinning were by recycling old plastics such as water bottles to use them as the electrospinning solution instead of wasting time of preparing the solution from scratch, something like PTE is already synthesized as the water bottle, so they just melt it in the suitable solvents and used it! So I suggest you try to dig deep in such an aspect from recycling and sustainability perspective and try to find new applications for it! The one I saw on the PTE water bottles was used to synthesize a high quality face filter mask! Good good luck! Search a lot and read more and you'll gain incredible knowledge that's gonna help you massively!
It is very unusual to make device first and then think about how to apply it to real-world tasks. Such approach is risky, but I like it for some reason. I hope that your device will make our world better eventually.
why viscosity should be low when we use water as a solvent for pvp
If the viscosity is low... The eveaporation of the solvent will be reduced leading to inefficiency of the whole process I think so
does this work with charcoal? I want to electrospin charcoal fibres to make carbon mats
This video experience was almost fun, ymmv.
Ok bro
How about mounting the spray need assembly inside a large torus/short cylinder, and spinning that around the collector? Direct application of the fibers to an unmoving wound would be possible. A cheap(ish) testbed could be made from a toroid core transformer winding machine, perhaps.
Hah, the dramatic music and narration had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!
😂

Hi we have same problems , how we can solve that?
We tested each feeder and peeler individually by manually advancing them several times under the "Manual Test" tab with the "Feed Peel Synchronous" box unchecked. During the test, we discovered that one of the feeders was not responding. We unplugged the malfunctioning feeder and noticed that the feed-box feed error disappeared. After removing the problematic feeder, we retested all the feeders with the "Feed Peel Synchronous" box checked and found that they were functioning properly without any errors. We tested multiple times on each feeder and did not encounter any issues. It seems that the malfunctioning feeder was causing severe problems and causing the software to hang. Removing it appears to have resolved the issue, but we are unsure of the cause of the problem, whether it is with the feeder itself or the software. What are you currently working on?
@@sprucescience We had defined two nozzles in the pcb information section, but in the feeder setting section of the aply section, 3 nozzles were ticked, and we apparently solved the problem by removing the extra nozzle.
@@sprucescience We are also having this problem recently where we are having a problem with the "photograph is faild" box, do you have a solution for that?
@@ibrahimmousaviHello İbrahim, I am getting the "photograph failed" error, how did you solve it?
@@lovesick3933 Hello, I have a 3V-Adv and that error (Photograph error) appeared when the cables of the camera (USB) where loose so the computer doesn't recognize it anymore. Additionally, random miss placing error where produced because of a faulty connector on the stepper motor that rotates the nozzle. In summary: Whe soldered the cables directly to the cammera (down looking), changed the USB port of the uplooking camera (inside the machine), replaced the faulty connector on the stepper motor. I know its a little bit older the question, but I believe someone will found it useful.
Great way to make a small micron filter for cheap?

w.tf is this? and what are the uses
It literally tells you if you watch the video.
That's worrying. Is this a new machine or an existing one? Performed any firmware or software updates that may have caused it? Have you reached out to Neoden?
Yes, it is concerning. This machine is new and we were told that the software is the latest and up-to-date. We found a feeder that was not responding so it was unplugged. Removing it seems to by pass the error but we not sure what is wrong with the feeder or software.
@@sprucescience Very odd fix. Picked up one new recently, it works but it's a bit disappointing for the price for a 6 year old machine, a bit slow, one camera, x/y misalignment (a few mm out over 200mm). I wouldn't buy a Neoden if I could avoid it. You can buy a higher precision machine (but weighs 200-300kg) for the same price. Some people have modded their Neoden to use OpenPNP but it's quite the time investment
Although its been a year now .. but i still wuld suggest to chk ur pick n place file. The Software developer are not good to chk long names and buffer over flows .. So long names of components in pnp file cause such probs on some pnp machines. U can manage ur cad software to produce shorter names or just do tht manually in xls sheet before loading to pnp machine.
