    No one "lied" about anything, Max. Seems like you're reflecting your own reality onto others. It's one thing to steal my content for your own low-effort reaction video. It's another thing to literally trash me in the first few seconds of the video for no reason. With all due respect, please change or remove this. Otherwise, may have to report it as a copyright strike. Thanks, and best of luck with your own channel.

    I recently got into a car accident. It was my fault. Thankfully both cars were junkers. We decided 20 dollars for his broken light (I gave him 40 because I was thankful he was so chill about it) Didnt report it to my insurance, went to go get a quote from a body shop (this car is 21 yrs old at this point) and they quoted me 6000 dollars out of pocket for a dented fender and a broken trunk latch stating they would have to replace the entire frame. Bungie cords off amazon latching into the holes on the trunk from a rung bolted to the backseats cost 30 bucks. Increasing my insurance would cost hundreds. Why would I participate in what is obviously a predatory system that designs cars and sale structure based on what makes the most money, not what's best and simplest for the customer per circumstance. A lot of economic enterprises and other things people would have normally considered vital are becoming increasingly predatory in times where people struggle with grocery bills. Maybe instead of building the global civilization we now inhabit on the principle that "no growth = complete and utter collapse" was a bad idea, but hey, Im just some 20 something so what do I know. None of this should be surprising to anybody, but most people just don't understand what's happening is a result of what you get when you make a debt engine the center of your entire civilizational structure and the demographic consequences of industrialism and modernism result in this engine breaking down. Dont worry. Its gonna get way worse.

    Here's the biggest thing noone talks about - while in the past a regular job would get you by, how the hell can you expect it to work now when our times are different. There weren't software engineers, there weren't surgeons who could reatsach an entire goddamn face now. Things have changed, so while your father could work at a grocery store and get by, that simply isnt gonna happen now. All these phones, ipads, AI; all this shit doesnt come for free. Its highly skilled shit which means you also need to be highly skilled in order to survive in this world.

    It's because wages are low because of mass immigration of no skill workers. When I was young if you made minimum wage, $8.65 per hour, you made more than enough to pay your rent, bills, transportation, clothing and food. Minimum wage was $8.65 and rent for a one bedroom apartment was $500 a month. Now minimum wage is $15.00 per hour and rent is $1500. So rent tripled and wages less than doubled. That's not even the worst part, which is groceries. Groceries used to cost me about $60 each week now for the same things it would be $200, so more than triple. You used to be able to buy a used reliable car for $800 and now that same car would cost $8,000 to $10,000. The only things that haven't gotten ridiculously and artificially over inflated is alcohol and recreational drugs.

      @sporkfaceman 5 днів тому

      @travisnewman-c9z I have many skills. I don't make minimum wage I'm nearly 40. I'm fine financially. My argument is that minimum wage was a living wage 20 plus years ago and now it's basically a slave wage. The younger people even making 20 percent over minimum wage can't afford what we did. The fact is the buying power of the dollar has fallen so drastically that the younger people are at a disadvantage.

    And just like everything else they've caused for themselves it's their own fault entirely and they'll still blame everyone else but themselves😂.

    • @JohnSmith-op7ls
      @JohnSmith-op7ls 5 днів тому

      It’s not entirely their fault, at least half the blame is on the millennials, a little on gen X and Boomers but it’s probably 40% Z, 50% Y, and 5% for the other two. Gen X mostly did fine with the fact that you can’t just assume you’re entitled to having it better than the generation before you. Middle and younger Millennials spent the whole time complaining that they didn’t automatically have it better and that their parents weren’t going to die young so they could inherit everything and have it easy. Now Gen Z and especially Alpha is screwed but every generation would be if they didn’t do what it takes to come out of it. They like to overlook the fact that Boomers only had it good because so many prior generations struggled to make it happen. Now they’re mad that they’re one of the gens that has to struggle a bit, which is almost every generation in human history. How unfair that they have to be like 99% of all generations. Why didn’t someone else sacrifice for them so they can play on easy mode!

    • @dankdaze42069
      @dankdaze42069 5 днів тому

      @JohnSmith-op7ls Yeah but comparatively they are completely at their own fault Everyone else is like a 5% when you look at it from a brutally honest perspective they literally are the type to stick a saw blade in the ground and purposefully kick it until it splits their foot in half and wonder why that happened Like you did it to yourself and then they get mad at us for not fixing the problem for them 🤣.

    Well, your ending point is really interesting. I think nuclear needs to be driven by the private sector demand. Nuclear is simply too expensive at this point for the government to pursue in terms of reaching net 0.

    • @jmj7543
      @jmj7543 16 днів тому

      Nuclear is expensive because the government or NRC makes it expensive. This is the result of decades of oil lobbyist and bipartisan opposition. In recent years many countries have done a 180-degree turn and now in the US, it has bipartisan SUPPORT. I live in Finland and after decades of building, we just got the most expensive reactor built fully operational. So many here talked about its cost which was supposed to be 3 billion euros but ultimately went to 11 billion euros that it was a catastrophe and we should have never built it. Now after the war in Ukraine and the rising cost of electricity, there was a same type of 180-degree turn in going against it and supporting it. Germany which shut and destroyed many of its nuclear plants now has 10x the energy price of Finland and if it wasn't for EU rules that other countries have to support the rising cost it would already be causing power outages in Germany. Nuclear energy is the future that will replace fossil fuels and with time and money, it will replace most of the renewable energy sources.
