Christ's Hospital Housey
Приєднався 27 лют 2015
As economic and social inequality continue to grow in the UK, the role of education as a catalyst for change has become ever more critical.
Christ’s Hospital has pioneered social mobility in education for nearly 500 years. Our approach provides a proven model for transforming the lives of disadvantaged children in our society.
By providing first class, free or supported education to talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, Christ’s Hospital helps them to reach their full potential and transforms lives in a way that no other educational establishment in the UK can match.

The children who go this school even from poor families are the ones who actually have support either from parents or teachers, no way the most desperate , impoverished, and troubled children get to go
Over 18 grand a term. 😅
Housey!
Changing of the guard!
Is this school good? I'm joining in year 9.

Sober delivery but quite fitting and Beautiful. Very excellent
Awesome! To current people/children attending this school, would you recommend going there (i might do so)
Asking the people who are reading the comments and go to Christ Hospital - is it a good school? I might go there.
Winging it again Reid!! How do you get away with it? By brown-nosing your whole career.
Of course the Grammar Schools did this (I went to a Secondary Modern) but the UK government, most of whom were privately educated were a bit miffed that the clever oiks from the 'lower orders' outclassed them so they banged that on the head in the late 60's. It was a very clever way to increase social division and keep poor kids in the sink estates. Now we see the effect of that. So after 500 years the concept of Christ's Hospital School is ignored.
Well said Andre, and I wish you all the very best in your future career, wherever it takes you.
In the late sixties I camped in stony Stratford near bletcley park their was one of Churchill's royal trains in a field or side line so we can assume he went more than once

Great job Tracey 👏
I'm so glad to see that you're thriving Dr. Brading, what a brilliant teacher you were during my A-Levels
Keep hands out of pockets, just saying.
Keep your hands off of keyboard. Just saying
When I was at CH in the early 1960s, I would get up very early in the morning and thence to the Chapel to have an enjoyable session on the organ. It was always a bit risky as the headmaster's house was next door, but I was lucky and recall the thrill of switching on the west end blower in order to have a blast on the high pressure tuba magna stop. It was and still is a very distinctive and powerful instrument, ideal for accompanying the singing and also for recitals. Rushworth and Dreaper (now, alas, no more) did an excellent job in a difficult and somewhat dull acoustic. Long may the organ and it's future players flourish (The pedal trombone and gallery tuba in particular).
Thank you. Beautiful music, we very much enjoyed listening and watching.
This is amazing! Thanks so much to all involved. I shall share it over the phone with another Old Blue mum.
Wonderful! Thank you CHOBA!
This is why I hold CH dear to me nearly 70 years later
The HM has covered all the bases for explaining what has and will impressively happen for CH to more than adequately deal with C-19
Thanks for being a great senior Grecian Andre. Good luck for the future! Oliver, 2nd form
Excellent presentation Andre! Thank you for your reflections which will resonate with many of us who have had the privilege of being educated at CH. Wish you every success in the next step of your career. UCL is my alma mater and I enjoyed every minute!
He's a credit to the school and the school is a credit to him. Wishing him every success in the future and confident that he will achieve it.
Pity about the hands in pockets, has no one told him.

Very impressive reflection André. What a pity that your final year was curtailed under such unprecedented circumstances. I was at CH from 1972 - 79 and lived in Horsham for 10 1/2 years until I moved up north in 2005. Wishing you every success in the future.
Well done and am so sorry you got to miss your last term and hope you get to go back for the last day and the great memories you get from chapel etc... From an old blue 1987 to 1994. Good luck with everything
Excellent reflection and great to hear the sentiments we shared over 20 years ago remain alive and well. CH remains as ever a school like no other. Best of luck for you future, I hope you make it to the dispatch one day.
Best of luck for the future! From an OB!
Good on you for going this extra mile. David B Pya/LHA/PeA 63-72

An amazing and incredible school. My family and I are blessed to have our son receiving what can only be described as a stellar education at this amazing school. Our son has grown immeasurably, both in height (ha ha) and academic stature. It will, I am sure, prove to be the experience of his lifetime.
