    is this water proof , how well does this do in the rain?

    • @w.a.k.1996
      @w.a.k.1996 8 місяців тому

      I have not had it out in the rain and for my purposes the main 'moisture' it will see is snow and it should do pretty well with that. What I have come across in my research is that none of the insulated ice shelters are really water proof. They may be rater resistant to a point. I have heard a few people will spray the shelters with water proofing spray to achieve that but I believe that can bring down the shelters 'breathability'. I will be heading north this week to give it a good test on the ice and hope to post a video after my trip.

    been debating this one for a bit, needed to replace an old beat up one i was given. decided to give the Piscifun one a go after watching your review, among a few others. the 2 extra poles is a tiny bit more work, but will make getting gear with big boots and getting the wife and kids in and out so much easier. Should be here tomorrow, so i might get a bit of use of it this winter

    The full door design does not allow for the bottom of the door to be sealed off with snow like the rest of the shelter to prevent cold air and wind from constantly blowing in.You would never be able to open/close the door without constantly affecting the snow seal on the bottom of the door. It's hard enough to warm up the inside of a ice hut without worrying about a drafty doorway needlessly.Decided to go with a time proven design in ice hubs with the Eskimo Quick fish 3i instead.

    • @w.a.k.1996
      @w.a.k.1996 10 місяців тому

      Completely accurate in terms of not being able to seal the doorway with piles of snow. I plan on placing the shelter so the door is away from the wind to help with that. Also, there is not always snow around to 'seal' the base so it is nice that the shelter, including the doorway, has a decent sized skirt to also help with the drafts under the shelter.

      @w.a.k.1996 10 місяців тому

      Yeah, it's a bit of an added piece but I believe all of the shelters with a 'full' door have some form of extra poles. Once used to them they only add a few seconds to the set up.

    Mine died less than two weeks of use, the worst customer service, no reply from the company, I had to leave it and a broken power head with a third part tool shop who I bought them from , tough to run a business without your two main pieces of equipment, had to buy petrol gear,which has superior power, they also had this dodgy battery redemption deal, avoid this gear, go with another battery company,overpriced garbage from a company that doesn’t give a crap about there company, I lost two days work because of this company,on top of spending over $2000 on getting my trailer set up with solar panels. Buyer beware..

    I've had one of these for 3 months and only complaint is the self propel transmission will self engage intermittently with speed knob at zero. So you end up pushing against the drive system until it's shut down and re-started. Rather annoying and probably not extending longevity,.

    And I have the new ones 7.5 amp battery 🔋 I never bag or having issues not cut or stop the mower:) but I have couple problems :( 1. The mower is too lite :( 2. the mower is too small :( 3. A problem with the batteries it freezes or won’t charge and one last that long with 7.5 A only 5000 ft.² yards you can cut:( 4. And I have fescue grass I cut like 4.5 inches :) and when I cut the grass front wheels Digs grass in and i’m on second day that grass raise up and you can see the stripes tall :( 5. The mower it’s sow light one pass can float on top of the grass second pass can go down with the same settings you can see the difference :( 6. The mower is so tiny I have 1600 square-foot yard taking me one hour and a half to finish with one pass if I’m doing double pass takes over two hours :( and you have to do a double pass because of those stripes :( because of the tiny wheels digs that grass in :( oh and it doesn’t have an enough suction to suck the grass back out with the blades :( 7. Not enough RPMs or not enough vacuum to lift the grass up from the ground. :( 8. The bottoms for self propel the end of the cutting your yard you have hands A Ssort they’re too tiny and you have to squeeze the hands too tight :( EGO Mower they need to fix dthese issues :(

    Got one today and used it today at night. I may have pushed it a bit too hard. I had the LED lights on obviously with a lower cut than what I may have needed as well as the grass, while not being soak and wet, may have been just a bit damp. I believe I overheated the battery and it quit on me as I couldn't start it back up. Put it on the charger and it was at 60%. I was one row away from finishing when it quit. I think this will be a good mower but it needs to be bone dry before I mow again.

    i honestly thought that the battery mower was going to last longer. I have a craftsman m320, and although many people say that the 163 cc engine on my mower just glugs gas, it last a very long time for me. Although the electric mowers might be my next purchase, it'll be some time before I actually get an electric mower because of how short time it last and how long it takes to charge.

    • @levichoward6795

    I ALWAYS use the side discharge feature of any power mower I've ever owned. Rarely the grass catcher or mulch feature. The side discharge is unsatisfactory in my opinion. On #2 cut setting over medium high grass the side discharge chute was constantly clogging.Taking it back.

    I have the LM2156SP (10Ah battery) and get almost 90 minutes of run time with hardly any self-propelled use. I only use it for a few steep parts of the lawn. That extra torque (8.3ft-lbs) is great for mulching. I just picked up the 650cfm blower with the 5Ah battery, which I can use as a backup for mulching fall leaves into the turf.

    Great video. Just picked one up myself. If you want to switch from bagging to mulching and still get a great cut, and not have to swap blades, follow Electric Lawn Services idea (ua-cam.com/video/tpTsAzIdnMQ/v-deo.html) and use the gator blade on the bottom, and either the extended runtime or the high lift blade on top. You can then use the bump on the top blade to locate your bottom blade and don’t need the 2 bolts anymore. Just snug them with an impact and torque wrench. I use high lift as my top blade now and I no longer have missed and uneven cuts, and it mulched great. Will lose runtime tho so have to weigh the options.

    • @seanrice7511
      @seanrice7511 3 роки тому

      The high lift bagging blade on the bottom in a standard configuration, while bagging , does give the best cut quality out of the box.

      @@pargoff technically only ran out once but did put it back on the charger for a little bit between front and back yard. I will admit that I cannot do the entire yard on one charge when I am bagging the grass and using the self propell feature. That is the only way I have been running it so far. I will be switching the blade to the mulching one soon and will not be bagging. I am hoping that gives me a little longer run time. It is definitely something to concider before you buy. That is not a big issue for us and we can still get the entire yard complete in a single morning or afternoon, it just requires us to take a short break between the front and back yards. The pros and cons all have different "weight" based on each person's wants and needs.

    Great review - QQ Can we wash this mower like a traditional grass mower? underneath the deck and top

    • @w.a.k.1996
      @w.a.k.1996 3 роки тому

      This is from the EGO website. " We do not suggest spraying the underside of the mower with a hose. First remove the safety key and the battery. Wipe the upper surfaces with a cloth, if needed. Tip the mower on its side and clean the underside of the deck with a bristle brush and/or cloth. Do not use a wire brush. Do not spray the underside of your EGO Power+ mower with water. If grass has built up over time, you may find that a curved plastic scraper, such as those used in the kitchen, is useful to help remove dried, built up grass." I have found that when I am done mowing I immediately wipe down the underdeck with some old work gloves I have and it cleans up pretty easily. A damp cloth also works really well to finish the cleaning.
