Oh my god this is AMAZING! The art and the music - absolute perfection!! I just got up to this part in the book. Just wow!!!

Excellent use of Swan Lake’s main motif. I always thought it would be fitting for dramatic reveals

reading this scene was so heart breaking tbh bcecause Hua Cheng felt so wronged by fengqing I was genuinely sobbing to my friends about it ,,but I also entirely get fengqing's reaction bc imagine finding out the little kid ur childhood friend saved 800 years ago has been following and obsessing over him since then. like. EIGHT HUNDRED YEARS. and said kid is literally one of the most powerful being ever?? AND he draws + sculpts your friend in freaky depictions. I'd be scared shitless for Xie Lian and would not let him see those things either ...

MXTX's note on this chapter was "Huahua, we found your diary 🤭" Which is the perfect description of the place, but also, *_mean!_* Love their expressions and how seriously scared for Xie Lian Feng Хin and Mu Qing are. Always found it so touching how they tried to protect him from Hua Cheng, despite knowing they won't last long against him. The music choice had me cackling - love Swan Lake a lot, and emotions of the music really complimented the scenes! "Evil" Hua Cheng's entrance was so fabulous.
