The original looked good enough I don't think there was much to improve upon.
You have to explain this? Because the original looks much better.
I would love to see resident evil 1 on ps1 and final fantasy vii on ps1. If they would even look good, but i think runway 3 could do it quiet good

Looks amazing. If you can add some music, it becomes more interesting.

Yes. I took advantage of the raytracing features of 4.25

how did you do the water?
There are a number of tutorials on making materials in UE4. A combination of textures and shader operations calibrated for PBR.

Dehrk this was done for prophecy games back in 2009. I was art director and a shareholder in the company
why is the cat transparent ?
BurningIceGod compositional error. The window was masked and i forgot to rotoscope my cat. I only had a few hours hours to shoot and deliver the final shot :)
back in the 80s some stuff would be transparent to when CG was used

Yeah. Would be compared to Unreal 3's latest engine visuals. This *was* built back in 06 with the one of the earliest builds of UE3 available for folks like us to license. But yeah, I agree, what looks like new ground, even stills end up looking like dogs vomit for newer gen tech somewhere down the line. Congrats to Epic for squeezing what we have today out of that little toolkit back in 06.
