I don't know how December passed in a blink of an eye, I was really hoping to film and knit more... but it is what it is. So here's a quick little knitting vlog that's a little messy and unstructured, but made with love so I hope you enjoy anyway ♡

sewing a jacket and a vest (they turned out sooo good)

I think these might be my best sewing makes of the year. I have to admit that a lot more work went into these projects than I anticipated (hint: top stitching and sewing bias tape takes time...), but it was so worth it in my opinion! Hope you enjoy the video :) pattern: puffandpencil.com/products/topstitch-vest-x-box-sleeve find me on instagram: studio.anneliis

I decided that it's finally time to knit with the most beautiful mohair that I've been admiring in my yarn pile for months. The vest turned out very autumnal, just in time for the colder weather. instagram: studio.anneliis contact: studioanneliis@gmail.com 00:00 intro 03:07 front & back pieces 10:26 thrift finds 12:22 ribbing 18:44 finished vest & outro

Hey! Sorry if I missed this ( I had this playing while I did my nails) but would you consider the bonnet pattern to be feasible for beginners? Im still new to knitting but really want to try this without a struggle 😂
Hi! There is a beginner friendly option in the pattern! You would have to know how to increase and decrease, but that’s about it. I would say that it’s a great pattern for beginners, because it’s quick to make and it gives you something you can wear that you made yourself which is the best feeling ☺️ If you decide to give it a go, choose Design B for both the ribbons and the bonnet when following the pattern, that’s the beginner friendly version. And if you ever have any questions, you can DM me on instagram ❤️
@studioanneliis I definitely will! Thanks!
The bonnet trend is so cool ! It’s giving cottage/vintage core and I’m here for it ! And the fact that you made one yourself wooow
Yes! I’m completely obsessed!!
I used to wear it when i was a kid but people use to make fun of me then i stop wearing it. And now its in fashion 😭
Time to go back to roots!
It kind of shows how fluid and ever changing the trends are and how we perceive what is “cool”. I can imagine how cute you looked with a bonnet 🥹🥹
@@studioanneliis cause of you I have the motivation to wear it. Lots of love 😭❤️

Very lovely
Thank you!
so cool!! ur so pretty
Super. Cute ❤
super cool
Thanks ☺️
Adorable!
❤️❤️❤️
You’re so talented !
You’re too kind 😭
Really cute! I crochet, but don't place knitting needles in my hands, not much will happen!!!
Every time I watch one of your shorts I'm just blown away!
❤️❤️😭
I wish you would explain more on how to work like that,I don't even mean cables but like you started from middle of chest and then added schoulders somehow ;D I'm too unexperienced to imagine doing something so freely haha but I would like to learn with time :) I guess this is a big pro of fnitting in flat, you are manufacturing pieces like for sewing front, back etc... I knit in the round where everything is determined from beggining. probably if I switched my mindset to knitting in flat it would five more freedom. How did you even get around making german shortrows in cable structure? your skills are immaculate. I barely understand how knitting work 😅😂😂 sorry for rambling just thinking at loud. Absolutely lovely and inspiring video! I'll watch more for sure
Omg so talented! Love these pieces, they look so cozy!
I’m so glad, thank you so much ❤️
🤍🤍🤍🤍
Omg 🤎🤎🤎
Aww you're so cute! Subed
You’re too sweet 🥹💖
No you are! For real you're absolutely gorgeous @@studioanneliis
@@seeyahl8r You’re an angel, this means so much to my little heart ❤️❤️❤️
Looks cute! Is there a tutorial for it?
Thank you! I have a long-form video on my channel where you can see the process (it’s not a tutorial per se), but I’m working on the pattern for it :)
@ great, thank you!
Wait until you experience a projector combined with a rotary cutter and a large mat. Life changing
Ohhh….. i can only imagine
Wow, very cool! As a knitter and crocheter myself I’ve been curious to see how these machines work. Your top turned out beautiful!
i love the finished products so much! as a beginner knitter i'm so jealous and in awe of your talent 🧶
You’re too kind, thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Using the rotary cutter for cutting the paper patterns itself is way quicker too
Okay this is genius. Future me is thanking you for making life easier!!!
@@studioanneliis beware paper will dull your expensive blades the same way it does your scissors. Happy sewing
Save your dull fabric blade to use when you cut paper. Your garments are finished beautifully. Congratulations
Thank you! I’m always strict about my fabric scissors and only cut yarn or fabric with them. It’s such a good idea to use an old blade for patterns. I just accidentally ran over a pin with the rotary cutter so I can’t use it for fabric anymore, but I’m gonna try with paper!
it turned out so cuteee!! also omg mohair yarn is a PAIN to frog, even slightly more fluffy yarns sometimes tangle together and u have to rip them apart
Thank you! ☺️ Exactly… I have a few fluffy yarn (alpaca silk) projects to frog and I’m dreading it so much 😭
There is NOTHING more satisfying and fulfilling than making something and being able to use it, and it DOES NOT matter HOW you made it, it's the thought process, the time involved putting the plan into action and the the zen of the actual process, then the instant gratification when it's done and you get to use it the first time....screw the naysayers...you did an AWESOME JOB and it looks fantastic. You should be very, very proud!! PEACE TO YOU
Best comment ever! I agree 100%. That’s exactly why I love love love making clothes. 🥹 Thank you so much ❤️
@@momsmith9267 I make beaded glass rings and I just love making them and wearing them. It's unique and artistic. I just love it! I just wish I could figure out how to work with fabrics I'm so good at everything else crafty but I can't knit or crochet to save my life...
lovely sweater👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you :)
Despite all the setbacks, I'm so happy you persevered because your vest turned out absolutely beautiful! Hope all is well since your move back home.
Thank you! It’s been a bit difficult to adjust, I loved living in Australia so much
Cute!
Thank you 💕
Omg it turned out stunning!
Thank you :)
Wooooooow! Looks so so good!
Thank you ❤
Amazing work! And such a great video! Thank you for inspiration

Thank you so much for a lovely comment 😍
Could see how proud you are of your jacket! Yeah You!!! Both pieces are wonderful
Thank you! ❤
Would loveeeee a pattern for the mini bonnet. PleASE :ooo <333
I will do my best to make one ❤️
I love both your projects. I only knit socks, but that scarf is so appealing. You’re such a talented knitter!
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ Socks are the most enjoyable type of project to knit for me, so i totally understand you, but i have to say that the scarf-bonnet was pretty much just as nice to knit up :)
that bonnet! so pretty!!!
Thank you ❤️
would love your pattern notes for the bonnet its so cute!
Thank you 💕 I think I might write a pattern for it :)
Love the hatscarf! I would definitely pay for a pattern if you ever made one 😍
Thank you so much! ❤This makes me so happy, I'm thinking about it :)
Love the hat scarf 😍
I’m more and more obsessed with it every day ☺️
I’m sorry I missed it in the video. What machine are you doing and what size needles? I’m looking at options before buying for myself.
I have the Silver Reed SK280 knitting machine, and the Silver Reed SRP 60N ribbing attachment. These models are for lace, fingering and sport weight yarns i think. The needles on the machine are standard, I can’t choose them :)
This is so cute!
Thank you :)
Wow! Did that entire thing really only take 5 skeins?
Yes, but at the end I had nothing left of the white yarn and I ran out of brown after knitting the armhole and neck ribs, so I had to use black for the bottom rib. It was very close 😅
Wooow the sweater is gorgeous! I really like that you show every part of the process even if something went wrong because you also show the way you made it work. I think knitting is super complicated but beautiful, i only do macrame and recently crochet. Greetings from México ❤
Thank you so much for the lovely comment! ❤️ I love macrame as well! A few years ago i was obsessed and only did that for months. Maybe I should pick it up again. Going Mexico is one of my dreams 🥹
Love your videos! ❤❤❤
I’m so happy, thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
this is amazing
Thank you :)
its such a cute knit! it is kinda giving grandpa core but like in a modern way that was trending recently and it's so cute!
Thank you! :) I feel like the grandpa style is really growing on me and I've been wearing this vest so much since I finished it
Soo cuute!!!❤❤ I would need a lot more yarn to make me one😢
So cute beautiful job
Thank you :)
So nice ❤
Thank you :)
i love grandpa style but its not even giving grandpa! its giving hot 70's babe and i think it would be so cute styled with flare bottoms or corduroy
Favorite comment! I have two pairs of black jeans with veryyy flared bottoms, this is such a great idea, I'm gonna try it!!!
girl your hard work rlly paid off its gorgeous:))
Thank you ❤️
Omg i love!! You did such a good job
Thank you!!! ❤️
