RC4WD Chevy Scottsdale Super Scale Build EP8 Part7
Ok wrapping up the front clip. So we glue in the front filler piece, do a little body work and then weld in the radiator support. This pretty much concludes the body modifactions for the kit install. Next Ill be be circling back to the cab interior and install the seat mounts, dash, inner door panels and the radiator and fan shroud. We are almost done with tutorial series I think there will be one more after this next one; Basically that cover the chassis set up and installing the body.

Ok installing the front clip. This will be a multi part tutorial. In part 6 Im just fosusing on fitting the fenders to the doors and then glueing the mount blocks. The next video will shift to glueing in the grill correction piece and body work and then fitting the grill and radiator support.

In part 2 I prep the cab cut out for the floor pan install. I had to re build some areas I hacked out with the saw when cutting out the doors and then smoothed out all the saw cuts. I also deleted the bosses under roof to fit the roof liner insert piece.

In Part 1 of the build we get right to cutting!! First things first; before we can do anything we need to get the doors and front clip sectioned. I made quite a few over cuts on this one but no big deal. I was able to very easily epoxy fill those over cuts on both the doors and the cab. So do not be afraid to cut on one of these body's.

Running a speed test using digital FPV on a short off road coarse. Setting a throtle limit so that you can full trigger through the coarse but as a controlable pace. This is part of the stratagy, too slow you lose, too fast you crash and you still lose !! lol
Finally! Somebody sees the downward angle of the RC4WD front end. The other thing is the transition from the A-pillar to top of fender contour. It's sharper in 1:1, and the top of the fender isn't so flat. Drives me nuts ;)
LOL This whole thing started with just correcting that. Some how it turned into converting this into the real thing and business. lol. Yeah there is a lot issues with it But you do have to give RC4WD props for this body. They really did a good job at capturing the real thing. Im sure they have some limitations due to manufacturing process. I think that is why the front grill angle is so exagerated so they can get it out of the mold.
Yeah its like the rain gutter. I detailed this cab over the weekend and painted and detailed it. Im sitting here admiriing it and Im thinking something just isnt right Then I saw it. I painted the entire rain gutter from front piller all the way around to the back edge of the door as it is molded. The 1:1 the rain gutter starts at the top of the windshield the A pillar is flat. Now I cant un see it and Its driving me nuts. lol
