I did this 24 yrs ago. I was criticized, looked down upon and saw many rolling eyes in my then conservative mid Indiana small town. Never regretted a moment. Even had a "friend" once argue with me because I spent bedtime talking gently with my son asking and answering his questions. 'why are you wasting time on him? He's spoiled.". Why the hello wouldn't I want to talk with my child? He's only little for a short while and he wants and needs to know how the world works. Squids? Let's figure it out. Poop? We'll understand it. Happiness? Loneliness? Don't know how I feel ish? Let's explore. As N only child I often babysat children of single mothers for their benefit and ours for free. That was a win win for all of us. I have never ever regretted one single moment with my child or any others. Sure it was hard and lonely and scary. It is for us all. But I beg you to stick to what you feel is the right thing for you, your child and your family. Not everyone has easy choices to make. But if you make them with integrity and honesty it's all going to work out right. Babysitters, rockers, playpens, daycare, family, preschool, WIC and school lunches all are there for us to be able to make the right decisions for OUR children. Not others

This is instinctive. We want our babies to smell like is. Aminals disown their babies when they smell something else on them alot of the time. So it truly is a primal feeling we have just evolved from killing our offspring because of this and we've inserted empathy and emotion and logic to this primal feeling, so we just keep them close and on our bodies and nobody will feel the need to pick up ur newborn lol.

Yes when I would pick up my son from his GM and he reeked of her perfume. I took him straight in every day and gave him a bath and fresh clothes. I hated it.

Man, this was HARD!!! I've been getting a lot of contractions, pelvic pain, nausea and vomiting and my body just aches (pregnancy and getting closer to labor, not illness)- but today I really wanted to push through and have that time I have missed when it comes to hiking. It was only a mile or so, but some decent spots of elevation gain, and I felt it!! My body was sore, but it was also so wonderful to have that movement I've been craving. We're almost at 38 weeks, so the things I had to avoid before aren't a concern because baby isn't premature at this point anymore. It feels like such a relief to be here and I'm trying to soak up and enjoy all these last moments before she arrives. Babies, toddlers need that contact and feeling of closeness. America seems to be the worse country for thinking babies should learn to self comfort themselves. That is what their parents are for. Hold them close and tight for as long as you can ❤

I’m wondering about the twist you’re doing at your shoulder? When I was ring fling wearing with my second and learning, I thought you were supposed to have it flat and not get twisted. Does this help with pressure? I’m pregnant with twins and had thought about getting a second ring carrier. To wear both.

She actually looks like she's having braxton hicks! I've been her size or bigger with all of mine. With my first I though he was bunching into a ball after 30wks... Nope. Midwife was happy to tell me my body was doing its job rehearsing labor! Happened with my others too, even during ultrasounds. I breasfed both mine. Remember though with my son bowing to peer pressure as i was nursing him at 18months and stopped because of my friends teasing. I wished id of told them to mind their own. It was a beautiful experience 😍
