Let's Talk Babywearing
Приєднався 3 бер 2019
I'm a mom to 3 young children! I want to help others in all the areas I struggled with in my parenting journey! I focus on babywearing here- as that made such a huge impact on my life as a mom!

Tandem Babywearing | Woven Wrap Carry @OschaSlingsOfficial
Okay, I am absolutely in love with this tandem for a smaller baby. This can be done with two babies of differing ages, twins, a toddler and baby, two toddlers, etc. I personally really enjoy this for a little baby because it just seems to put them in a better position overall compared to a ruck with the two "tibetan finish" passes that baby sits in.
I used this incredible @oschaslings Leana Abigail Baby Wrap in a size 7 which is my base plus two. Base size just refers to a woven wrap that is long enough that you can do a front Wrap Cross Carry tied in back. There are some great t-shirt guides online that give you a good idea of what your base size will be. Of course, body type plays a part and your shirt size may not perfectly align, but it's a good starting point! I also have this on my website under woven wraps.
I love the ethics and sustainability that is for front for Oscha slings. They create each piece in Scotland in their small workshop near Edinburgh.
From their own website- "Our fabrics are woven in the British Isles from ethically and responsibly sourced yarns before they are lovingly handcrafted into baby slings in our solar-powered Scottish workshop. Responsible production is at the heart of Oscha, we love our planet and want to keep it beautiful for generations to come."
They also offer a middle-earth line for any Lord of the Rings fans and honestly, the designs are so beautiful that I think almost anyone would enjoy them! I know I do.
I share them in stories (IG) and have them linked on my links page under woven wraps! You can also use code LETSTALK23 for 10% off!

Using a ring sling to support your Pregnancy belly #babywearing #ringsling
nobody talks about tearing ! mine was so bad i couldn’t walk for 3 weeks without being in excruciating pain and since it was my first time i honestly thought that was normal and then i was so confused to see other mamas up and about DAYS after birth. thank you for sharing ❤
thank you for this video! i wish i knew this when my baby was newborn 6 months ago 😂
you’re amazing ❤
What are your favorite woven wraps? I've only used Solly Baby and Ergo, but I'd love to try a woven wrap. I often experience back pain with my Solly, so I need something different. I'm pregnant with baby #4.
U r amazing beautiful mom ❤...
The last first Christmas and all 🥹 Even though we hadn't planned on a fourth, I'm somehow finding I'm even more sentimental and emotional about all of these moments being "lasts" in a way. There will still be so many firsts, but these last baby moments are going to be bittersweet to say goodbye to as well. Thank you to @miriam.ezagui for allowing me some time with this beautiful @elooment hand woven. I'm going to be scouring the BSTs for one to invest in I think- there's something really special in the weavers work. It truly is wearable art as Miriam says.
Now she’s what?
Now she's breathing without any obstruction.
This is exactly what I need
❤
😢😢😢😢😢😢 soooooooo sad
Let's be the support 🫶🏼 parents could really use so much more support and less judgement. If you are willing to share, what has your experience been with how you feed your baby during the holidays around lots of family? Has it been a mostly positive experience? Have you had challenges? What could people do differently? Also... I have to acknowledge just how incredible the @the.mumsie are for the holiday season. I absolutely love using them as a nursing support at restaurants, while eating as a family, etc. It's one of my favorite options for air travel and those times where you just might need to pick up baby here and there multiple times throughout the day. I love that I can use it as a nursing support for baby, babywear with it, and just have a cute outfit that's ready to go- just add a shirt under 🥰 I love multi-purpose things that actually work well and these have been that for me. Through the 30th they are all discounted as well- several styles are $100 and under. Just wanted to share in case anyone has been looking at a pair. I genuinely have an impressed and bought them years ago back when they were very new. The quality has remained high and they've all around been a really good company to support. I have a link in my profile!! NO CODES NEEDED!! There are just on sale? #breastfeeding #babywearing #thanksgiving #babywearingmama #postpartum #newborn #baby
This is by far the most helpful stretchy wrap tutorial I’ve watched so far! Thank you!!
Thaaaaat is why the wrap is so tight.... Thank you, lady!!! <3
I'm definitely going to check that program out! I want to try woven wraps. Also, your baby girl is getting so big! 🥹❤
Oh thats so cool! I wish I had known about that when my baby was born. Do they have anything for 1 year olds? Or are there other carriers you recommend for that age? She's 20 lbs and prefers to face outwards.
They have a wide variety of options for toddlers as well! If she prefers outward facing- I'd probably lean towards something like the Tula Explore. If you want to get them on back or hip to be a little better on your body, you might want to look ahead and toddlers specific half buckles or full buckles. A lot of toddler carriers don't work until a child is fully in a 2T pant size, but there are a few that already will including the lenny lamb preschool options (Those are some of my favorite!) and Neko.
Great. New fear unlocked. 😢
My solution is just to buy one of every kind of carrier or wrap on the market 😂 I'm only missing a me dai and then I'll have every kind
That'll be so nice!! And agreed, buying used is amazing- it's how I started!!
Thank you for this, this is so important.
Reported, take care of your baby instead of using him for likes
Yeah 2 is too old. I feel bad I’m not judging but you gotta give yourself a break, it takes a physical toll on ur body. Trust me, I know it’s hard. We got my daughter off at one on the dot. But she’s 3.5 and still shitting in diapers, and we’re both frustrated!!
yikes terrifying 😵💫
Im an audio visual learner and im sire many other people are, i need to see and hear things to be able to process and remrber the information, so videos like this help a lot of people f all the haters whp think taking two seconds to film something makes gou a had parent, clearly you werent letting her be unable to breate or putting her in any danger, you showed a natural thinf rhat was happening and how people can recognize it by a sound and the look easily, and that could save someones life
Baby girl is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us! It’s so important to wear baby safely
i taught outdoor preschool prior to having my baby this year and this is so sweet and inspiring ❤
i love this !
Those quik breaths to catch back up with the air they were missing 😢
What brand is this wrap?
This video can save lots of lives! The sound she was making is terrifying and I think people forget how easily it is for babies' airways to get obstructed. Not all babies will make noises like this, but I think hearing the noises she makes will make people remember this and they will check their babies more often to make sure they are secure and positioned correctly. Good job, mama! ❤
Thank you for showing this! I used to wear my son in a wrap and at first, I thought he was just making cute baby snores (his noises weren't as loud as this). Turns out he was bloody slowly suffocating right under my nose! Now I tell every new mumma I come across.
Staring at yourself in the camera while your infant struggles to breath is next level narcissistic abuse.
Maybe don’t use wraps then. I don’t find them safe at all
Hey can you do a video showing all your babywearing wraps and carriers? I see so much pretty carriers in your video every time😍🥰
I used to get so scared because my nephew was tiny. I'd sit in back witb him for my sister because she didn't trust he wouldn't shift in the car seat. It was the smallest one tightened as much as it could go and still wasn't enough. We used blankets to fill the gaps and I sat in back to make sure he was breathing the whole way. I was so realived when he started catching up in sizes.
My mommy sensors went off and I got scared for a second... I'm not even a real Mom..
You should have found a different way to teach this to people. You literally let this happen to your child so you could be significant on social media. It's sadistic.
The child is fine, it’s useful that she filmed it when she noticed it happening to share with others. Awareness is good.
God bless. He is good. He gave you such a cute little miracle!
I’ve been watching many videos on how to do this carry. How important is it to keep the shoulder flips out on your shoulders so that it almost looks like a tshirt sleeve. I’ve been pushing mine up so that I can reach above my head while wearing my baby.
Now i need a baby 😅
Thwnm you for showing this! Im about to be a new mom and im glad what this looks like
Thank you
Have you tried the meromero one? Super compact? I need one for travel and hot summer
Please do a video on breastfeeding while baby wearing! Also what carrier is this?
Thank you for showing this. Let me also say that I am terrified of the seemingly thousands of ways an infant can die and a mom might not even realize she’s doing something wrong. Dude… so scary.
What kind of fanny pack is that ?
So my mom had a friend who baby died in a wrap like this so she always encouraged me to not use one
You look pretty much identical to my aunt. That’s crazy
Brilliant
It would take genius to figure that out
Thank you, I had no idea
Its also important for older baby. Be aware. Wrap must be for short period of time and not better if this is too tight.... The back of your baby must be curve and free must of the time.
