Excelent!
Thank you! This was very well explained much better than the acls instructors explained it
Thanks for this. I had a cardiac ablation and still really groggy and required to lay still post op, I had to PEE! So, they set this up and told me to go ahead and go, but I was so out of it I didn't understand what they meant. It seemed like I was just going to wet the bed. They kept telling me it was ok but I kept resisting cuz I just didn't understand...lol. Probably driving them nuts. Finally went, still didn't understand how it was working and I heard the liquid sound in the cup and had no idea where my urine was going. But it worked really well. But my confusion has been hounding me since. So now I know!
The cap is called an obturator for those of you looking for the word.
Thank you for this educational video. I came into a clients home and they ask me to set this machine up. So I went to UA-cam and learned from you guys. Thanku❤
thanks
Should the patient be in a flat supine position with head of bed at zero degrees?

No one warned me of the pain after I had a UFE procedure.
Wow you’re hairy
So basically you can’t move once placed?

This video was helpful. Thank you for making this video.
Hello, I am in Taiwan making an instructional video about the Arctic Sun. May I use your video? Your introduction and filming are very detailed.

Excellent job ma'am. A friend called for help setting up her tube feeding bc the feeding kept on stopping on it own. And I just sent her this video & in 2minutes she did find out what the issue was & she called back to tell me was "stupid" she felt😂. Good job

I'm an international nurse and never encountered this type of external cath for female patients and I've only heard this from us nurses on social media therefore i got really curious how it looks like and how to use it. So i search it on UA-cam. And thankfully there are tons of tutorials and your video is one of the best because you didn't only demonstrate it but you also discussed the indication and contraindications and other things.... thank you.
It gave me major problems because the latex in them
Can I use whith portable suction pump
Thanks for posting. My elderly father needs this. Could it be modified to accommodate a male anatomy?
For males they use condom external catheters attached to a regular Foley cath bag.
Excellent! Practiced yesterday and review the steps through this video. :)
What if the patien obese? Do u think it may raise pressure ulcer ?
A cna used this on me after my hysterectomy, the excruciating pain I felt there's no doubt that it was not done right..
thank you from the information.
Thank you
Daughter: "Good morning Mom, how did you sleep?" Mom: "Better." Daughter: "Better?" Mom: "Better get a towel, I crapped the bed."
Don't use tape on any elderly patient and make sure that they don't have skin allergies to tape before applying.
Price
How much is it
Thank you so much, your explanation help me a lot 💕
I stopped to see if this would work for camping... this will absolutely not work for camping.
amazing video!!!!! thank you so much!!! this has made everything more coherent and easier to understand! - respiratory therapy student :)
As an educational video, the demonstrator speaks too fast. No-no 👎
At ~$7 each three catheters per day would cost over $600/month. Can they be sanitized and reused? Or repacked with foam or gauze? I know the maker recommends against this but I wonder if it's practical.
Very instructive
Hello. I know this video is 3 or so years old. My mom was just released from the hospital on 11/8/23. She used this in the hospital unfortunately insurance companies don't cover it (hospital Dr. And her family Dr. tried) they said it was still fairly new. We paid for the kit closed to 700. Not including External Catheters. We paid 200. for a case of 30. I'm so glad I came across this video. It helped us so much...
Wait, so you have to be on yourr back all the time
Thank you so much for this demo.
Alternative to Purewicks & condom catheters. 100% more effective 😊 ua-cam.com/video/C1TO85OqCRw/v-deo.htmlsi=285bbGD1M9Fwq8z2
Amazing
does it always come with fluids??? does blood cannot go on its own through the blood warmer
I just started doing in home care and the company did not train me at all. So i came to a client's house for the first time this morning and she uses this product because she is bed ridden. I had never heard or an external catheter let alone know how to change one. I instantly came to youtube and this is the first video that popped up (thankfully because it is very thorough). As a new care giver i find each client has unique needs and i am grateful that this video exists. I believe i can do this confidently even for my first time.
What was your patient and his/her family members reaction when you tell them you didn't know how to change the purewick?
In home care and you had no idea what this was? Wow.
@@anak6940 I'm not in home medical. And no, I had only been in IHC for a week at the time. My office told me "Google it". Wow! If I didn't know about the wick how would I have known how to do them?
@@doremifasolatido-ro7zs they just assumed the company would've sent someone that knew how to do it. They were very upset.
stop asking annoying questions, some of these system are new and some of us never seen these kind before, so if she doesn’t know so what a least she’s willing to learn
