The Cloud - Hiking one of the highest hills in Chesire. Country Walks
Join me as I walk up to The Cloud, one of the highest hills in Chesire, with amazing views over the Chesire plain. Close to the Peak District National Park The Cloud is an unexpected peak in a generally flatter area.
This country hike starts in Timbersbrook and heads down to the Macclesfield canal before heading on a long steep ascent to The Cloud.
The walk was about 7 miles and it was a glorious day for it...

Peak District Hikes - Climbing Shutlingsloe - Peak District National Park (W.S.E.R)
Переглядів 2,3 тис.2 роки тому
Join me in the Peak District National Park as I climb up from Macclesfield forest to Shutlingsloe. It was a windy but beautiful day for a hike and the views out over the Peak District national park were beautiful. This was a circular route of about 6 miles and includes and nice steady climb up to Shutlingsloe with only a short steep ascent to reach the summit. This is a great hike for any begin...

Join me on a country hike on the border of the UK's Peak District national park. I set off from Teggs Nose country park near Macclesfield and hike to White Nancy then loop back. The 9 mile hike follows the ridge between the UK's Peak District National Park and the Chesire Plain and despite the rain there were some amazing views. Getting Muddy at Falling Foss Waterfall (Country Walks) HD
Переглядів 782 роки тому
I decide to go off piste and explore the bottom of Falling Foss waterfall in Yorkshire. The Hermitage (G C 1790) is said to be either built by or built for George Chubb, a local school master. Some say he was the hermit during school holidays, others say he had the boulder carved out as a way to create employment for local people. Instagram: @walk.sleep.eat.repeat

Hi, WSER, Thank you for sharing. My original comment disappeared, so I would like to just make a brief comment. The panoramic view from the highest hill is rewarding. The view With the clouds in the blue sky is picture-perfect. 7:50, 8:48 Indeed, this forest offers one of the most tranquil moments. You can take it all to yourself. well done.
This is the next county to us and we’ve never heard of it. We enjoyed walking with you today. Lovely views from up there and not a bad day for visibility! I think this walks a bit long for us, but we did enjoy watching you doing it!! Cheers 🍻
Beautiful and peaceful view of the place for hiking great overlooking view thanks for sharing
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
Wow, this was really well put together. Loved the narration and shots of you at the summit! New sub! 👍
Thank you so much for your kind words - I'm still trying to figure out a format that works me 😅

Great piece of history thanks for bearing all the trials and tribulations to complete for us.
Hello? Nice and beautiful hiking tour 😃👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you for the video. Have a wonderful day 😊
Thanks for your lovely comment, so happy you enjoyed the video 🤩
This is really beautiful, the stonework in the windows is so well preserved. Thank you for telling this castle's history!
Thank you so much for watching! I have two other castle videos coming soon so stay tuned 😄
Hahaha very scary on the muddy part, is that the only way to see the waterfall?
😆you can safely see the waterfall from the top but to get to the base this is the only "safe" way. At the end when I leave the waterfall you'll see I go straight up (kinda hard to see because of my terrible camera work), climbing the rocks, this would avoid most of the mud but unless you're a confident climber I think this would be more dangerous.
@@wserwalk.sleep.eat.repeat3978 Hahaha we will view from the top, your camera work was great, it was realistic, as it happened 👍
@@pauline7418 thank you so much and thank you for the sub - that means so much 😊
You're using the bottom of your chopping board?
Haha no, the little rubber feet are on both sides. Thanks for watching so closely though 😂
Your van is lovely! and what a fabulous explore around Egglestone Abbey, i really liked the walk up to the abbey, so peaceful! you've captured this perfectly, thanks for sharing and showing us! new fan! 👍🤘
Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Yes, it was so peaceful, there's something so calm about early evening and wandering around ruins.
Not updated maps, the bane of our existence as hikers. We haven't had to cross a river like that yet, but we've got our own hairy situation where farmers had put their electric fence over the footpath on a steep river bank... Beautiful nature there near the river Tees!
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes I totally agree, especially when there's just no other way to get back to your route! Yes the scenery is gorgeous there 🥰
Those are some really impressive Abbey ruins! That great window is just stunning! Thanks for taking us along 😁
It's my pleasure - glad you liked the video!
Please upload more!
Thanks man - there's more coming soon 🙌
Wow so pretty. Love it. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here 👍
Thank you so much! Glad you like it 😊
