That's safe hold on gun. Unwell you hunt the hunt.
What scope do you have on your marlin?
That’s the Trijicon Credo HX 1-6
@TrailingTheHuntersMoon thank you for the response I appreciate it.
Tracking is a dying art
So the 45-70 is capable of producing over 3,250 ft/lbs, lets stop pretending he didn't bring a buffalo cartridge, because thats exactly what he brought, an f-ing buffalo cartridge.
This hunt is for professional hunters! Perfect example of people buying their way into areas they don't have the skills training and common sense to be there! The same goes for wealthy people buying their way into high performance machines not good!
Why ?
Left the channel, half the video, wasted, walking around.
AH client
Outguiding your guide…nice 👍🏻
Part 1 showed the Ruger made Marlin 1895 45/70 lever action and a Ruger bolt action 375 Ruger were sighted in.
Adoro los 2 calibres.. 45/70 y 375 ... desde Campana BsAs Argentina ...SALUT
Incorrect. Not a bolt Ruger, but a Ruger No.1 falling block action. Pretty amazing many don’t know their firearms too well
Hornady 250 grain load for that Trophy Roan Antelope? From a Ruger made 1895 Marlin lever gun.
What caliber lever action are you using? Oh 45/70 Lever gun and Bolt action 375 Ruger.
I’d be more afraid of the other hunters they point their guns at each other repeatedly
Hunting a elephant is the dumbest thing ever
Because a sling can tangle ...no sling
Great tasting for sure
This is part 2 and the gun was probably described in part 1 which I have not seen here!!
What an idiot.
Garbage video.
What a terrible example for anyone looking to get into gun SAFETY
Why do people only in Africa carry there gun in such a unsafe manner . This guy flagged himself and everyone else. Also his attitude sucks .
This was a cringe to watch. I’ve never been to Africa. Probably will never have the opportunity. But that being said I’d had been a mad SOB if I was this man’s PH, way he wants to just take off. Excitement be damned lol. Shot twice, didn’t top it off. I don’t care if I’m hunting squirrels, top it off, take a chill. Listen to the man you’re paying who is also there to keep you alive. As well as we don’t know the rifle/load anything. This man wouldn’t go whitetail hunting with me.
Seems like in Africa there is no such thing as gun safety.Hate to see people carry rifles on their shoulder holding onto the barrel.
Why do you and the guide carry your loaded guns pointed at the person in front of you??? I would suggest you take a gun safety class…….this rule number one, NEVER POINT A LOADED GUN IN DIRECT LINE WITH ANOTHER PERSON!
I've never seen 45-70 used on a big 5 animal
I don't know if they make a .300 or better sectional density round for that. That's what you'd want if he came at you denying you the good angle shot. That and some energy behind it. The shooter's talking "lead" lol. Don't know if that's a generic term or not. Cape Buff hide and bones seem pretty dense themselves.
Seems like a " know it all" since you do why do you have a PH? This video is evidently not about whatever gun he is using but about "The Man". Click off...not impressed
nice video dude. Great shot with that 45-70
Would have liked to see the rifle/load info. Muzzle control was visually lacking, PH included. Very unprofessional. I’ve heard that the butt over shoulder carry gives you complete control of the muzzle. Probably true, but you still have to execute….goes against the grain of a lifetime of competitive shooting. High pucker factor though. Enjoyed it more after a couple shots of whiskey…
Nothing about the rifle/caliber/bullets. Nothing. Just a rich hunter trying to tell the PH how to do his job.
I hunt buffalo with a Westley Richards fixed lock double chambered for the .577 NE calibre. Africa has a unique sport hunting tradition. This identity is well defined. It has distinct practices. It emanated from a Europe with classes, from a Europe with class. Waidmannsheil!
This video is a glaring example of what not to do on safari. Never seen such poor gun handling skills, or lack of!
The dummy didn't even use any shooting sticks not smart
you don't really need shooting sticks
those are for heavy double rifles and bolt action rifle of calibers over .375
I can tell you have hunted alot of dangerous Not
The hunter is using a lever action rifle when hunting dangerous game you always shoot off of shooting sticks when possible so you make the most accurate shot possible to put the animal down quickly and not put yourself or guide or trackers in anymore danger than need be
😆😆 I don't use them either 🤷
This Hunter has a beyond type a personality, if you were a hunting guide and this guy wants to hire you, I would turn him down. He seems like he hates everything he does he hates hunting, he hates the enjoyment or the possibility of it,, what an absolutely disgusting human being. I think it's good that this video is publicized so all the guides in Africa or across the world can recognize this guy, this asshole and never accommodate him. What a piece of shit this man is.
This video is obviously not and African Sun Production. If you want to watch beautiful amazing outstanding video go to African Sun productions. They don't just show the hunt, the photographer may see a tiny little flower in the midst of a stalk, and he will video it, he is a visionary, absolutely the best on planet earth. I don't always name I just watch the videos. They could be stalking Cape Buffalo in the early morning, this videographer will actually stop in the photograph a spider making a web in the early morning dew... I am not sponsored by these people and I can never afford to go to Africa, but if you really want the best of the best, watch African Sun productions.
What's the deal with questioning the PH ? Arrogant hunter ! He was aiming ( spotting ) with his scope with the PH right in front of him just to the left ! WHOA ! And he seems very impatient about everything ? He looks very uncomfortable carrying his rifle ? I wouldn't want this assh#le hunting anywhere around me ! He doesn't seem to realize the danger of hunting buffalo in Africa, and keeps moving without the PH's approval ? He is not a person that takes direction at all ? I can't believe the sponsors would hire a jerk like this ? Fire this fool ! I bet this PH and crew couldn't wait to get rid of this dangerous jerk ? I didn't see him reload after his last shot, which is highly recommended while hunting dangerous game, especially when multiple threats are around ? Other buffalo ? He emptied his rifle in the end ? He's in wild Africa, not Nebraska ?
I am curious what ammo your hunter was using. I've got some 525 gr cast alloy I think would probably work on M'bogo at least as well as my 9.3x62 did this past August.
This guy is dumb an dangerous doesn't listen horrible gun control
Good luck to stop a charge ...
the PH and another guy have rifles of .375 or higher probably .416 or .470
A Yank who is out of his depth, feel sorry for the PH.. This is Africa not shooting Whitetail in the USA
The PH took him. He didn’t have to.
Right………. I forgot you Brit’s are so……………spectacular
@@timzona6829 Assuming you are from the US Well we gave you English for starters, have churches a 1000 years old. Your track record is taking the lands of the First Nations (as it was not yours to take) Late in WW2 (2 years) only joining in when the Japs caught you with you pants down Kicked out of Vietnam...lots more to the list.
Henry Lever Rifle. Ammunition looks like 45-70. Trijicon scope.
It's a Marlin I have the same exact gun
Muzzle awareness was horrible throughout the whole video. 7:36 really stands out!! PHs tracker is literally one foot from the business end of his rifle !!! Accidents happen when you least expect it. Nice buff. Thanks for sharing
100% Agreed I cringed big time with the poor muzzle awareness .............
When your guide scolds you. Better b3 glad you had him
You ever hear? Don’t guide the guide.
So much for gun safety! Also, learn how to run a lever action rifle. Why are you bringing it down to your waste to run the lever instead of leaving the rifle shouldered. When you leave it shouldered while running the lever action it makes for much faster follow up shots plus your head is up which means you maintain situational awareness. This guy is a joke, he must have connections at Hornady.
Nothing like ignoring your P.H. on a dangerous game hunt…
this joker has a hard time listening to his PH
What caliber? Bullet?
Probably 45-70
nice video. I am a 45-70 but was dissapointed that there was no discussion of the Marlin you were shooting, what ammo, scope, etc on this video or Part 1. Would have liked to have seen more on how the cartridge performed on the buff, entrance locations, penetrations, the bullet if recovered, etc.
No information, rather disappointing video.
Will the Buffalo get eaten?
