Yummy, I love food themed books, I am sure you will have a good time reading those. Hopefully they include some recipes too. I am reading my way through Terry Pratchett's Disc World series (very slowly) and I want to continue the Emily Wilde Encyclopaedia of Faeries series.

Hi Fiona, I DNF'd The Discovery of Witches series after book 2 . I'm in my mid 40's and like a quiet Christmas and New Years. I'm a foodie and loved your risoto (except for the Brussel Sprouts). I love leak and potato soup. The Walkers of Rivers Edge series is on my TBR. Cool that you make homemade bread.

Hi Fiona, One of my Booktube friends didm't like Shady Hollow. I'm starting at least two and continuing seven series this year: New are Shadowfell (YA fantasy) and Cavendish Chronicles (medevil historical romance) Continued are Aggie Morton Mystery Queen, Cowboys of Cold Creek, Lake Shore Chronicles Ladera by the Sea, Sunflower street Pennyfoot Hotel and Fairacre.

I so love the word pernickety - you don't hear it near enough (and I like it better than persnickety for some reason - it just sounds better to me). Glad to hear good news about your Mum's knee. I plan to just stay in today still, most of the roads are clear, but, it's barley above freezing and I don't want to chance ice. Not even to walk outside and crank the car - there are steps down to the parking lot. So will be staying in and reading and catching up on booktube. May venture out tomorrow if it's warmer.

See volume is perfect on my laptop on this one! So very odd why some are fine and random ones are not - still think it's not you but something with my laptop. This is a lovely idea! Like you there are so many, I have my favorites that try to watch all the time but do enjoy finding new ones too. I also really enjoy What Victoria Read and also Lauren and the Books.

Hi Fiona, I found your channel through Sarah. I'm in the US. We both have chronic health conditions and love Rae Anne Thayne . I'm an anglophile and love books set in the UK Am new to cozy mysteries and will check out the Elizabeth Penny series. I read 52 books last year and really came into my reading tastes. classics, sweeter romance and cozy fantasy.

I love nerdy book stats! I met a lot of my goals and epically failed with others which doesn't worry me at all. I'll just adapt this year's goals a bit because clearly something wasn't working for me. I read 100 new to me authors this year which was all kinds of fun....mind you that means I know have a bunch more authors to try to keep up with not to mention the catch up! It was an excellent reading year for me, mostly because I don't force myself to read something I'm not enjoying. DNF is my friend!

Oh, see, I love stats! 😁I couldn't not find that difference in the number of books! Of course, it kind of is what I do for a living! The page count I can see because the GR edition can be different than the actual book (get put in wrong, etc.) You had a great year! Loved hearing all your breakdowns and your top books. I posted my tops for the year in the Monthly Wrap Up thread in KTWC (didn't know where else to put it)
