I think the problem is partly the fact that Christians rely on Pastors as authority when it comes to the gospel and those that read don’t employ the use of other tools to understand. It’s an unfortunate case of blind leading the blind. All you need is to personally get curious, study and understand the gospel. No preacher is an authority it’s the word of God. I have and it’s the best place to be. I’m grateful to God for Pastors that have cos long have been led by agenda preachers. Everyone was subject to the Law while Jesus was alive but scripture was fulfilled with Jesus and his death on the cross and erase the curse of the law .No one is saying don’t give but no percentage is required for you to be blessed or cursed.
