    I need to fix my 98 SHO's antenna. This video will help me, I'm sure. Is your Taurus a SHO and do you still have it?

    • @thesnottynosekid9985
      @thesnottynosekid9985 4 роки тому

      Yes i still have it the car. It should be the same if its the extending one. The videos all over the place but all you gotta do to line it up is put it in with the nuts on but still loose and then extend it all the way and then tighten the nuts while its all the way out and it stops moving when it feels resistance so if its moving and you need it to stop just grab it and it wont move anymore intil you turn the radio on or off. It doesn't need to be extended all the way just enough to get the thickest part of the antenna through the hole after you place the plastic cap and and special nut on the outside of the car. There is a special socket for that nut with the 4 notches I don't know where to get one mine is home made. JUST BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO LET THE ANTENNA COME OUT ALL THE WAY!!!!! i did and its not easy to put back in and you shouldn't have to remove the cap from the top of the antenna if you do that DONT LET IT RETRACT ALL TEH WAY BECAUSE IT WILL GO ALL THE WAY DOWN INSIDE THE MECHANISM. I know the video isnt great bit i wasnt gonna take it apart again.

    • @thesnottynosekid9985
      @thesnottynosekid9985 4 роки тому

      Just install it in the trunk with the nust on but loose. Install the plastic cap and the special nut on the outside of the car. Turn on the radio and stop the antenna by grabbing it when the thickest part comes out. Tighten the antenna bolts inside the trunk. And you should be good. Dont use a screw driver for the special nut on the outside because you'll destroy the seal and scratch your car if ypu slip up. Go to the ford dealer these antennas were on alot of there vehicles and they moght have the tool there. Good luck.

    Oh Man, you really love extensions everywhere,, even to pour coolant into the radiator, you need half a dozen funnels, and a crane to hold the funnels and the huge coolant container. You should be a comedian with all that nonsense, mate.
