As a newer bowler, my rev rate is still pretty low. Seeing the Phaze 2 in person and throughout reviews (including yours) have made me want to pick one up before they discontinue them. Not sure what they did with the coverstock on that ball but it always seems to be super strong. Thanks for an up-to-date review on this super popular ball. Might have to hit up the pro shop this weekend. lol. Thanks for including all of the spots you were throwing from.

What is your layout on your Vaporize?
@@EdisonZ06 I do not know my exact layout, but I go off of where I want the pin with all bowling balls And with the vaporize i put the pin above my ring finger a tad off to the right

i got a phaze 2 last year and really just didn't use it, when my purple hammer started giving me fits i got it out of the bag and ...i love it. I'm older and not a speed demon so i didn't know what to expect but now its my main ball . glad they are still making it
I am too Especially for sports shots! It is so reliable
do you think a 72 year old low rev-stroker with low speed, can match up with this ball and not go brooklyn during league play. I currently throw the ion pro, but by late game 2 and three I need something stronger when I move left.
I would say yes because this ball goes longer but gives you a strong back end when the oil pushes down, which would be game two and game three I throw an average of 11 mph so i understand having slower ball speed

Yes I agree! Possibly one of the few or only Phaze 2 video with a lower rev player. Definitely a different perspective that some can relate to. 👍

Ball looks good. Seems very versatile. One question I would ask is how do you compare it to an Attention Star. Thats probably the only asym pearl currently that i can relate to that I know you have thrown.
The attention star is more hockey stick motion than the hammer effect in my opinion I feel like i would need them both because when I need more snap in the backend i would use the attention star The hammer effect blends the wet, dry a little bit better for me

@@gordonm125 thank you for that I drill everything with the pin up in between my bridge I will be honest I do not know my exact specs but i always make sure the pin placement is where i want it

What is your take on the optimum idol? I had the Helios and the Cosmos. Hated both of them.. Helios was too early. With the Cosmos, i had alot of over/under reaction! But i was thinking about trying a 3rd one since I've recently changed my layouts!
I also hated the helios for the same reason, but the optimum idol is very smooth and very predictable. It’s the perfect symmetrical ball in my opinion.
Dang the shot in the vid looked kinda toasty. But looked like it was a fun event overall.
