Replacement for Shark S900 Dual Special Edition?
I've found a good replacement for the now discontinued Shark S900 Dual special edition. It can be found for a real bargain price outside of the UK.

A short video about Yamaha's legendary FJR1300. In my opinion the best budget touring motorcycle.
The powerplant is definitely up to the task. It’s essentially the engine used in the Legend race cars.
Hi, Does it have cutouts to take cardo 40mm speakers
Hello, I've just measured them and yes. It has the 40mm cut outs either side.
@FJRTOURS thanks very much. Appreciate you help.
@@pcarragher6025 No worries.
Hi can you tell me the dimensions of the unit, as I'm thinking about getting one or the H2 and they seem to stick out quite a bit. I have 2 Nolan helmets which would be better with a pair of N-com units but I'll be looking at £350+ whereas a pair of Moman H2s are about £80. Also do you know what the difference is between the H2 and H4 is? Sorry for all the questions.
I'll get back to you tomorrow with the dimensions buddy. I'm not really sure on the differences between them. This is my first headset so just a quick thoughts and impressions. I was very pleased with it considering the low price I paid. Thank you.
Hi bud the dimensions are 85mm x 45 mm Cheers.
@@FJRTOURS Thankyou. I've been looking at the Moman H2e 2 rider kit on a black Friday deal £79, Can't really go wrong at that price compared to £350+
@@6panel300 No worries thank you. Enjoy the new system :)
Thank you for the video, what's the name of your frame Sliders?
I'm not really sure. They came on the bike when I bought it. Cheers bud.
What kind of side cases are those? Did you not get the factory set?
Hello buddy, they're Kappa boxes with the Givi wingrack two. I believe the previous owner installed so that he could have any combination of boxes he wanted. Thanks for the comment.
In 50 years of riding and many, many bikes, the FJR is definitely my all-time favorite. I've had 2 so far and will shortly be looking for my third. Just an all-around great bike that will do just about anything but off-roading. Sport bike performance with long-distance comfort!
Agreed, I've had many bikes over the years but the FJR seems to surpass them all in just about every way. The reliability of this motorcycle with just basic maintenance is truly incredible. Thanks for the comment.
Has the CCT been replaced
Good question. I'm not sure. I would imagine that its been replaced with one from a newer bike.
They DO have maintenance issues, especially the older Gen 1 bikes. Nice if you can get a decent one with low miles AND had all the service done regularly and on time.
Not at all, I would say the only weak point if you can call it that is the linkage on the monoshock at the back. Just make sure that you grease this when required. Mine is just shy of 80k now. I do service it at the correct intervals. Never had a problem in my nearly 3 years of ownership. Cheers!
@@FJRTOURS I have 2 FJR's. The starter relays go out frequently, mainly because they are too small and they are basically staring a car engine. The drive shaft on BOTH of mine were not lubed at all from the factory so unless you pull it and inspect it, you don't know until it fails. Used older FJR's are a nightmare because people don't properly bleed the ABS brake system, change the air filter, change the plugs, coolant, or even do valve/throttle syncs. People selling old FJR's also stop doing maintenance so a "budget" price means that, regardless of mileage, these complex machines can and will each your lunch to get them back into reliable bikes.
@@arthurfoyt6727 Mine doesn't have ABS, coolant has been done. Plugs have been done and what you have just said could be applied to any old motorcycle? If not correctly maintained it won't be reliable?
@@arthurfoyt6727 your statements could be applied to any motorcycle and you seem to be generalising a lot.
@@FJRTOURS Point is that the FJR has a reputation of being reliable, which it's not unless it's maintained. By the way... look into how you have to change the 20 year old starter on an FJR.
