I didn’t know your major even existed

Hey, I know this is a bit of a reach and I don’t think you’ll respond but your video helped me out a lot, thanks. I was just curious if a media and communication degree would be the best path for me if I wanted to end up working for myself and make videos on UA-cam. I’m not thinking about a back up but it would be nice.

I am absolutely pissed off by the fact that the primaries are on different days I live in Michigan so we do vote on super Tuesday. But this year every single one of the candidates I wanted to get the nomination dropped out I first wanted Mike pence he dropped out actually he dropped out before anybody even had a chance to vote for him in the primaries and then I wanted to vote for Santorum. Know you might not like either Kennedy but I should have the right to at least feel like 5 volt was hurt whether they win or not because that's what the Democratic process is about. But if the Hardee's feel they must have the primaries in different days at least the results of the primary should be kept secret until all the primaries have taken place and then the results can be revealed therefore people do not have to be swayed by what other primary say and the parties can I do something sneaky like what they did in the last few elections the case you were talking about was something that irritated the crap out of me now I actually wanted to vote for Michael Bloomberg cuz I felt like he had all the good things about Donald Trump with none of the negative but he dropped out. Even though he actually was in a much better place then Joe Biden.

Honestly I just want to study communication bc it offers me filmmaking classes and journalism classes, Im from Mexico I wanna be a film director when i get enough experience, but if it doesnt work out id like being a journalist Maybe its about the different countries or schools By the way youre so pretty and the way you talk is very relaxing, i like your vids <3

Digital marketing… ugh. The same is partially true for English majors now. But good writing skills can at least add to your “marketability” and be applicable in almost every field. Additionally, English degrees are pretty versatile if you decide to further your edu in grad school. I wonder what grad programs look like in commutations. Agricultural comms actually sounds kinda cool, but maybe that’s a trap. Idk type type type. Words.

By the time I realized how important it was to get involved in school activities, clubs, school magazines and other activities I was locked down in my room in the middle of a global pandemic... And how I wished I would've gotten more involved while I had the chance to. Sadly there were no club activities that worked online or remotely that I could join, most clubs were in person and during pandemic most of them weren't functioning. Makes me feel like I didn't get to enjoy the University experience I wanted.

I'm interested in working with digital marketing and creating blog posts, articles and other content for companies. I haven't studied communications yet though because I'm wondering if studying communication could mean that you also have really social jobs where you need to talk in front of people? Because that's not what I want. I want to communicate through text, pictures, videos.

I've met quite a few losers that went for communications. That's a major for retards and everyone knows that, except for communications majors themselves. Get an actual major that gives you skills.

Agree with this 100%. I wanted to like this lipstick, but it is too light on me, too sheer, and is almost completely off after an hour of being careful. Super helpful! I am doing comms major with environmental science minor. But for me this is helpful because I've done tv production, professional copywriting, and right now I'm building a digital marketing and sales for a local radio station. I want to do communications for non profits, especially for the environment. So now I can learn different communications, enjoy my electives, do more internships, and have a wide base for the future.

The Nordic countries you speak of are not socialist. In fact they are more capitalist than the USA. They have privatized many of the their social programs to much success. The leaders of these countries have even publicly denounced socialism. This is a very misleading idea. As far as socialized health care I’ll point you to Obama care. That was a disaster. Socialism doesn’t work. It’s not as fair as capitalism. Capitalism has its negatives but it’s overall the most fair for the most people.

I earned a communications degree and I started looking for a job in the PR field, but I could not find one. Looking back, I wish I would have taken advantage of the internship opportunities that were related to the communication studies field. After being out of school for a long time with no job related to my degree, I decided to go back to school to earn a second bachelor's degree in computer science. I got a job related to computer science and I've been doing that ever since I earned my second degree.

Thank you for making this video so others don't make this mistake. I did my bachelor's in development communication and then pursued master's in mass communication with specialization in advertising and PR. The college from where I did masters had this 75 percent attendance rule. I wish it was not so and the curriculum was more flexible which allowed more internship space and opportunities. Most of my classmates after the masters were lost and did not know their interest and we all ended up doing different internships for 1 year after our master's ended. So with mass comm, it's better to have hand on experience than just a degree
