Malahit 50khz-2ghz dsp sdr receiver on 40 meter band test
Hi, Thanks for working our club and multi-multi contest station OT5A. 73
What is the best? Mfj 902b or Mfj 16010?
thank you!!! de yt3d
Many tnx for calling us.Greetings from Greece 73 de SV2DCD (J42L)
And now FCC has clarified that linked repeaters are not within the rules for GMRS.
Please what différence with the DSP2 ?
Good luck, I just got mine setup and connected to my MFJ-939 antenna tuner and it really struggles to tune this antenna. 160, 75, 40, 18, 15, 12, 10 and 6 meters are a real struggle to tune up on and 160, 75, 10 and 6 are unusable. Interestingly enough the antenna tunes up easily on 30 and 20 meters. When I received the antenna the third mast section that has the spiral wound wire around in had the plastic shrink over the wire scraped off for about six inches, the wire didn’t appear to be damaged so I ordered and along piece of shrink tubing the nicely covered the exposed wire. I’m now thinking that there might have been damage to the wire and I’m going to check it today for continuity.
What is inside the box?
guessing all these network are gone these days
Are you in Houston. Antenna looks nice!!
I had this radio and when on street was cold bottom didn’t work on tangenta
Zello is a joke, it’s full of Aholes
I believe Lauro is becoming a celebrity of sorts, among ham radio operators. I think I worked him three times in the last few months. 73s!! KJ5GIH 🇺🇸🤘😎
I'm going to be moving into a apartment soon I just bought a ultimax 100 24ft it will be inside so I would say it will be better than no antenna at all.
I am pretty pissed off because the price has gone up since I contacted Sigma Comm. About 24 months ago ?
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, I wanted to buy this plus kit but was discouraged from making a purchase???????
I have this antenna1 kw, Sir Paul from sigma comm. told me the plus kit will not handle more than 100 watts, I have the e-mail. Go figure????????? KJ7TBR JohnBoyUtah 😎🇺🇸🎙📡
And this isn’t on a node?
Really cool! Just got my license (extra) and getting on the air. I have a G90 as well and looking forward to making contacts like this one!
That WI station was linked to my repeater back when the Texas network was part of Live. Did not expect to find this.
Great video. I made contacts all over the country and down to Panama on my G90 and a 10-meter $64 Sirio vertical. 73's🎙KD9OAM🎧
*_Kenwood type ???_* .
How did you unlock it to transmit on GMRS
Not bad man👍
Love them little rigs👍
Daaang nice antenna 👍
I was told by Paul at sigma comm. that the plus kit is no good with an amp???? I have the antenna with the 1kw unun and a 500watt 811 amp ! He said the plus kit will not work??????????? JohnBoyUtah KJ7TBR
I use this antenna with a 1306 Ameritron. Works satisfactorily. I couldn't tell you if the radial kit makes a big difference or not.
I mean, it works enough! We can do a video with the al 80b and the antenna if you want. It's nearly ground-mounted, which is the only drawback for optimal performance. To your point, I don't know for sure if the radials add value but I put them on their as they were pretty expensive on their own.
Great radio
Looking good 😃, thanks for sharing 👍
Had the antenna for five years and works good.
Yesterday on 20 meters band, with my g90 in FT8 and 20W, vertical car antenna, connection from Italy to a Argentina. About 11.800 km 😊
@@mauriziolored6123 nice
I have worked several Spanish stations long path from South Australia on 20m SSB just using a Ziegu G90 (20W) feeding an end fed 40m 1/2 wave wire (~15-20 feet high) via an Unun and a home made CMC choke. The wire loads up nicely on 20m, 15m and 10m as well as 40m. The inbuilt G90 tuner even matches the wire on 80m and 160m tho' not as efficiently 😀
An interesting angenna.
How is the 780 plus holding up?
@@daveviator great!
I also have a G90, is a Little Big radio
Yeah that'll really get out nicely for working stations across the street.
It's worked Europe etc...
@@federalprisonauthority5159 congratulations to the ham on Europes side for his superior antenna sustem and super dooper receiver system
@@federalprisonauthority5159 sure it has

Thanks for a nice video clip. Best of luck from Slovenia, Janez S51DX
Well, sure -- in Breckenridge, you're 8,000 feet closer to the ionosphere! 😆 Seriously, good contact. N0WKR (down the road in Grand Junction, CO)
He's from Texas low lands so this is a big deal!
Good job. Greetings to Colorado. DL1EIK
What about the other bands that the antenna is supposed to work on?
Impossible.
looks like a 30 a breaker on a new electrical line
No Wat.
Is it safe to run that antenna indoors?
so far so good
How can i get started
In Ham radio?
ooh that radio is about to take off with that fan 😅😅
What’s the antennae setup?
Hello... so is gmrs better than Ham for use in Africa?
Can I ask what antenna you were using with this radio?
I had no problem with GMRS and Meshtastic during the solar storm. VHF and HF were static. I'm not a ham, just a fly on the wall monitoring, but I do run CB, MURS, GMRS and Meshtastic. Diversity is key in emcomms.
thanks to you i found out about meshtastic had never heard of it before
What is the antenna you are using for the GMRS rig?
